FYI ... I happen to work for a large client that deals in distribution and sales, this is a general warning to all Tic Tac Purchasers, DO NOT buy any tic tacs at major grocery chains for the next 48hrs, there is a recall going on... that is all for now... (and if you do decide not take my advice, consume at your own health risk)

btw, this is not the first hush=hush recall that I`ve been part of, however, since I know many people on this site consume candy etc, I figured it would be worth my time posting this one...

Ufot-keeps the kidz healthy
I'm feeling lies wif da hax!! right now..

I wont pretend to know the intimate details as per the recall, I can only assume that it involves some type of undesired substance contaminating the product, prehaps of the cleanning genre... I really dont know, a lot of these recalls are spooky...

2 months ago there was a recall on rice, because it tested positive for cyanide, how that happenned still remains a mystery, and yes, the plant is still open...

Ufot-heh...

Are we certain it's plastic ?

What if the recall is about the Tic Tacs not being kosher ? Wow, that would be a whole lot worse than plastic bits.
I'm feeling in the past but right now..

You'd be amazed at the amount of things that aren't kosher and that actually contain animal product.

Most candy, for one. Jelly/gummy stuff is pretty much just bone and cartilage, and the kosher stuff contains jelly made from fish rather than cow/pig.

^^^^

remind me to never eat jelly gummy candies again. ever

so those tasty little mini jelly beans are nothing more than sugar-flavoured cow gristle?

lovely

Gelatin (also gelatine, from French gélatine) is a translucent, colourless, brittle, nearly tasteless solid substance, extracted from the collagen inside animals' connective tissue. It has been commonly used as an emulsifier in food, pharmaceutical, photography, and cosmetic manufacturing. Substances containing gelatin or functioning in a similar way are called gelatinous. Gelatin is an irreversibly hydrolyzed form of collagen. Gelatin is classified as a foodstuff and has 441 E number.
