| well of course it deviated, problem is there's no rule against a 'deviated' puck, yet. I really hope they add a rule that says if the puck hits a player's glove while the player's intention was to touch the puck with his glove, and the puck goes in the net, it does not count.
Is hockey the only sport left that allows goals that were the result of nothing more than luck?! Some changes gotta be made :( |

| A lot of goals are out of luck in the NHL, that's not even an issue. But changing the rules concerning puck deviation would be bad for the game. A lot of players are skilled to do simply this, targetting a player in the crease and make sure that it's deviated, most likely on the stick of another player. Some are more of luck, like the one that deviated from the glove of Richards last night, but if you ban these, you'll also have to ban the ones deviated from the skate, the kneecap, the handle of the stick.
Stop being a whuss about the loss of the Canadiens and be a man, they've done great this season and you all should be proud of being one of their fans :) |

| I wasn't necessarely talking to you, I was more refering to all of those who are trying to get all cranky about the lost, finding why the team lost, calling out on bad call, denounce (if that is even a word :P) the rules and all. I understand how emotionnal it can be when your team lost (still remembering the loss in 1st round of the Nords in '93 and '95) but it's still a game ;) |

nah man, a deflection is one thing, a player purposefully deflecting the puck off his glove is quite another, I just feel that LUCK goals take away from the game... it's no longer about skill, think about basketball or baseball, you can't score by luck... |
