Just my 2 cents.

i would have to agree...its a matter of symbolism in my point of view...if people wish to do it then wats the problem? different things mean different things to other people. and why say such things about people...i would have to agree with other people when why put ur self up for punishment from other people when you dont have proof? i mean thats a clear sign...lol...for being a glutton for punishment...

thats my 2 cents..bwahahhaahhahaha!!
I'm feeling chill....^_^ right now..

I love being "educated" on the evils of Satanism by someone "wearing" an avatar of a religion icon representing a culture whose ancestry (predynastic Egypt) reeked of human sacrifice and cannibalism.

You DO know that Egyptians ate their dead and when the Nile overflooded, often ended devouring their weak? Even in the 13th century, there were recorded instances of mass-cannibalism in Egypt.

By the way, here's this:

In contemporary Italy, the "horns" are surreptitiously placed behind someone's head, or explicitly pointed at a person (in Italian, fare le corna, to make the horns). The conveyed meaning is that this person is being cheated on by his wife or (more rarely) her husband.
(...)
The origin is traced by some as far as the legend of the Minotaur, who was born from queen Pasiphaë and a white bull, betraying King Minos of Crete; the most prominent proof of the betrayal, the horned offspring, was taken as its symbol.

Furthermore, bitch please. Satanism is a jangled mess of rituals and symbols from outdated religions, which Christianism deemed "evil" to protect itself.

You want to take a jab at "evil" people, don't go for the horns, go for your corrupt. They are everywhere. There are no symbols to link them. JUST PLAIN FUCKING COMMON SENSE.

Use it.

[qupte]Which begs the question, what is so great about Satanism? Or about the horn gesture?

I have a thing against labels being taken seriously. Someone calls himself a Satanist, so what? If said Satanist lives normally, is he still a bad person?

Whether or not belongs in the Church of Satan has no influence on his desire to EAT A BABY. Someone who does is FUCKED UP, no matter in which society/cult/knitting circle he belongs to.
I'm feeling keen right now..

Pretty good post, but I wonder why you feel the need to call me "bitch". Perhaps in person you would not use the same wording?

I am not taking a jab at anything. I was only asking why "the horns" and so far, NO ONE has come close to providing an explanation as to why or what it might possibly mean. It's just something people do without knowing. You don't know either. Obviously.

You can't see me imitating a big black mama as I say it; it changes the whole meaning. Believe me, I'd say it in person too. I'd even do the hand gestures.

I'll tell you why we do the horns. Because it's part of society. Same as the V/Peace Sign, same as the thumb up. Same as every other hand symbol you find right now. It's lost its original meaning and simply now means, "rock on".

Can you rock on? Have you ever? Ever enjoyed something so tremendously your hands form a symbol on their own volition?

Do we have to link it to Lucifer? Why is that so important to you? Am I obligated to know about the Battle of Agincourt to do the V sign? In the same vein, do we NEED to know who invented, say, Gabber, to enjoy Gabber? Do I need to know the origins of Fluffy Whip to enjoy stuffing my mouth full until my nostrils burst with whipped cream?

No.

i wasn't familiar with him, but thanks for the information. i'll be sure to check up on that, i love ideas and theories. :)

the idea of synchronicity is really beautiful to me, it's sort of the meaning that humanity is not full of seperate beings that die alone, but rather as entities of unity, we exist as a whole. anyway enough of my rambling, i don't want to hijack the thread.

continue the satanism discussion.
I'm feeling nuclear right now..
