| i've used the phantom power on a beringer before and had nothing but bad experience with it.
it was pretty weak acctually.
it got the job done as a mixer but the phantom power blew some horse dick on the mic tip.
lately i've been using the pre amp on my yamaha and have been getting much better results. |

| I've had my fair share of behringer products crap out on me... stay away. Behringer dones't really develop any of there own products... I find, they just rip off other companies and rebuild there products with cheaper components.
If you feel like saving up a tad, I'd definately go yamaha or Mackie... great products. |

| I have the yamaha MG10/2 and it's been really great for home use. i've never actually plugged a mic directly into the mic pre though. 80 bucks is a good deal; go for it thierry
the one weird thing is that you cannot have headphones/C-R turned up only - the master has to have volume too. so you have to shut off your amp to hear shit with only headphones. i don't know why that is..it's like the headphones channel is a post-fader send off the main volume rather than an independant channel. that's my one complaint but it's not a huge deal.
