AlienZed: I don't know you, but you should stop acting like a diva and be more friendly and helpful with peoples who share your passion instead of dissing their skills. Gnak.
I'm feeling deadfunkish x 100000 right now..

honestly, that's exactly what I am doing. I'm not the kind of person that lies to my friends and tells them what they want to hear. If I didn't sincerely want Melo to get better, I'd shut my mouth and not say anything about it.
BUT it turns out there was a problem with the tables, so it's my bad.
you have to understand that the last two times I heard her play, both times there were technical problems, so my impression of her skills is not what it should be. generally when someone trainwrecks, you don't say 'Good job', you say, 'nice try, practice more'

I really don't think I was dissing her, if I did, that's not what I intended, and I apologize. I can't be helpful if I don't say anything at all though...

one thing that might help you understand me better is that I am very blunt. I don't feel the need to coat what I truly mean in sugar before saying it. take what I say how you want, I meant nothing more than to be critical in the hopes of helping someone push themselves further...

mixing for a year wasn't enough for me, it took me almost two full years to mix a set without any major problems... and still I make mistakes (who doesn't?) but I don't trainwreck, I'd rather (and sometimes do) completely cut out a track awkwardly than have two beats going at different tempos...
point finale, I made my main critical point before hearing about the table troubles, so I was uninformed, I am NOT hatin' or trying to put anyone down.
I'm feeling smokin' right now..

dj-ing stuff put aside, seriously what happened at this party? where were all the people?? i went through the pictures and couldn't help but ask myself why everyone left before 2:30 when usually that time's supposed to be the peak of the party??
i got to the party pretty drunk and gave attitude to some and hugs to others but i spent most of the party outside since the 15 people that were inside were just slouching on the couches the whole night.
what the hell.

Not the best vibe I've seen, I'm just guessing, it's the end of the summer and people are starting to get tired. My friends and I have talked about it, I just think it could be a general good explanation. That and the fact that it was hard to build a hype when the party was made official only a few days before it was held, I don't blame JS, shit happens!
I'm feeling errr right now..

also, Sim's is kinda out there, sometimes you need those extra people who just randomly walk by and decide to join in... we need better downtown venues :\

I always bring my own needles to events now. Even still, sometimes things happen. I bounced around a lot during my set and sent the needles flying, took me a couple times to realize it was the floor that was shaking everything.

Really the key is to have fun. I don't mind if a dj messes up as long as they recover well and don't get upset about it. Its all about how creative and fun their set is.

At any rate I had a blast at this event and all the djs I caught at the peak times of the party did a great job. I'm shocked that there are complaints.

At any rate I posted this in the music place but I was handing out some so I figured I'd post it here too.
