Dodgee is pretty much the best freeform DJ *IN THE WORLD* You're flaming this party because of the flyer? Then you flame it because the lineup isn't crazy enough for you? Get a life - if you don't like the lineup don't go but I don't think the promoter deserves to get bashed for it. I can tell you right now that a few of the DJs that have been retards in this thread will never get bookings from me...ever. You guys need to learn what respect is. She's throwing her first party and putting her hard earned cash on the line for others - chances are she won't make much money since the Qc scene is small - so she's doing it just so people have a good time. How can you possibly insult her for that? I've put 10,000$ on the line for a party before and if someone was to bash me like that I would get them blacklisted from every party I ever play at/am professionally involved with. It's nice to see someone book a DJ for his skill rather than his draw. Dodgee is probably the most skilled freeform DJ in the world so I'd much rather see him than many others. In fact, I'd book him if there wasn't already so many parties going on in Ottawa around that time. |

This isn't about ego - it's simply to show that you shouldn't bitch promoters out because it'll come to bite you in the ass. Why should you care what I think? For one, I get along well with 90% of promoters in Ottawa and you can be sure I won't be pushing for any of you to get booked here. Nobody likes someone that'll bitch them out if they throw a smaller party than usual. |

but yeah, maybe if you explained why you're so negative about this event I might be more understanding I just haven't read anything in this thread that makes me think you guys aren't just flaming for the sake of flaming. We recently flamed an Ottawa promoter hard on [ XVI.com ] because he deserved it. But we gave constructive reasoning to explain it. I haven't really seen any evidence of "LadieZ" doing anything wrong in the past so I'm inclined to give her a chance... I did see that other thread about her boyfriend but I found that pretty low and stupid...and that has nothing to do with throwing a professional rave. |
