| They don't need to hack the site to find that out, all they gotta do is look at our nicely-displayed IPs. If they've got some sort of deal with the local ISPs, they've got all they want, though they could never use that info to do anything legal, because that violates privacy laws.
There's no easy way around getting cops to stop reading the forum. If we were back in the BBS days, there were call-back validators that would discourage cops from going on them, because your actual phone number had to be confirmed to get onto the board.
One way to do things would be something similar to that, I would guess, but would be time consuming and require some man-power on our end, and that would be to limit acces to parts of the board. To gain access, you would have to be verified by someone through some method, or having a drug-delivery-service style setup for parties. You call a pager and have to leave your number, get called back and you get told where to go, and from there you're given more directions by someone on how to get to the party. The line would only call back for a certain period (say, 10-12pm), and the person at the "meeting spot" would only be there untill a half hour after the phone line is down, and then a STRICT no-one-goes-out, no-one-comes-in after the established period. You go out, you go home. |

| Meh the cops have been monitoring our events calendar for years, it's nothing new. There's no way to have a public party without making it public! A few inconveniences won't stop them from finding out if they have a team dedicated to it. Besides most of the time when cops show up at parties they don't get busted.. and like I said they've been monitoring our events calendar for longer than most of you even knew what a rave was. |

we just need to think about ravers security and make sure that the venue we rent is secured and as the right capacity for the event we're throwing and they'll stop busting our parties....that is simple! who cares if they're monitoring this website....sure they do IT'S PUBLIC!
