that's completely wrong. why? because all those weapons needed are already stockpiled. the only thing the US lacks is active troops and a draft would solve that problem instantly. what you all forget is that the US military budget is more than that of EVERY other country in the world COMBINED. Iran would certainly put up a fight, but in the process, their entire country would be destroyed. In any case, this is all irrelevant. If the US wanted to attack Iran, they'd get away with it if Iran does anything to those sailors. |

plus, starting in 1979 (ending in '81), a bunch of american soldiers were held by iran for 444 days. neither of these 2 incidents precipitated all-out war with iran.. i cant help but think back to the northern border skirmishes eariler this year with hezbollah and israel. what hezbollah has shown their brothers in arms across the middle east basically, is that kidnapping the enemies' soldiers gets results, of a sort. |
