| yeah, you bring it to a boil and then turn it down and let it simmer. You put some baking soda in the water, too. Baking soda and hot water weaken and partialy liquify flesh and fat, so after a half hour of boiling you can peel most of the outside off in a few seconds. The trick is to take off most of the large chunks of flesh and get as close to the bone as possible and it'll peel right off.
The toughest thing IMO is cleaning out the insides of a skull (when it's not split in half).. I use a bit of a coat hanger to pretty much jab around the inside of the skull to chop/mangle up the brain while running water into it so that the bits come out, then you gotta take out the cartilage from the nasal cavity, and then you've got to get into every nook and crany you can find and scrape out/pull out any bits of skin/muscle/nerves, clean out the bits of gums that are under the teeth..
The cleaning alone usually takes at least 5 hours, not counting that you might want to re-boil it every hour and a half or so to work on parts you've uncovered that you can't reach on your own and need to melt off. Update » Screwhead wrote on Mon Mar 26, 2007 @ 1:08am first pig head I did:

| I'm not sure how you do it, but the best way to dry it and get rid of the smell is to cover it with sea salt. Then forget it in a dry place for some time. =P |
