Coolness: 122370	i hate how we're judged by the gifts we give. most of the time i make things as gifts, like paintings or sculptures. it takes time and comes from the heart. this type of consumerist idealogy saddens me quite a bit. like i watch tv and see car commercials saying 1000$ off for the holidays bla bla bla. are you insane? who's gonna buy you a 25,000$ car for xmas? this represents everything that is wrong with what such a holiday has become. if you can't spend quality time with your loved ones, what's the point?

Coolness: 144955	I don't really care. I don't personnally celebrate xmas. I don't believe in Jesus, and I feel like people being generous only this time of the year are being hypocrites. Still, I'll go to parties since I know my family want me too. I just feel the whole present thing is just a whole gimmick to sell toys. (xmas is the only time of the year I get all hippy about these things too) :p I also don't have that much money, and buying xmas present does have an impact on my budget.
