I got a question about turnatables..should I buy these? [ www.panasonic-europe.com ] |

it's tecs, so why not! Just don't get too used to the +/-16% unless you plan on brinning your decks with you to gigs.

Good I'm buying them tomorrow, and Fred I'm getting Serato for the playing out part :p |

serato is THE BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ASS EVER!!!
great for studio sessions... but totally unreliable at gigs!! a pair of cdj's with good flight cases is way less hassle to set up. those 12's are cool... but whether its worth it to sell old ones for the ultra pitch function is debatable... personaly i think vestax is the only company that managed to get the ultra pitch thing down... its all about the sliders yo!! buttons change the pitch really drasticly i find, and when your making a big jump in tempo (ie. from dnb to breaks and vise versa) you want it to be smooth and thats hard to achieve without some trickery or a near silent breakdown.

haha!! pinky played a radio show once for some french station and those are the deck they had!!!
the mk1's with the pitch knob!! he said they weren't bad at all, c'ept the mixin' with a pitch knob is a little funky.

lol, I was really gonna get those, lol
not! No the MK5's are the ones for me, it's too bad theyre gonna take 2-3 weeks to get here...their coming from Japan, and the canadian Tech distributor is being a shithead appearantly...they dont pre order techs here anymore (only the 1200, not the 1210 MK5's) Update » greatjob wrote on Thu Oct 5, 2006 @ 2:59pm I mean the MG5, sorry...appearantly there isnt any demand for them here in Canada...other than mine and like 0.0000001% of the rest of canada. |
Good [+1]Toggle ReplyLink» MURDOCK_ROCK replied on Thu Oct 5, 2006 @ 3:09pm |
well there really is no difference from the 1200's to the 1210's aside from some voltage bullshit that doesn't matter unless you live in some wierd ass country...
i actually like the old ones better than the ones with the pitch lock. but for real those mg5's look like a fuckin' nice deck!!

Watch out with the blue leds on mixers... Thoses things are so god damn strong!!! On my Allen and Heath Xone32 I had to put some masking tape on the filter on/off leds because they blind me everytime I turn the filter on! THEY ARE SOOOO STRONG and are aimed right up at my eyes!! arghh! I was even thinking of taking the thing apart and switching them!

bassic... i have the same mixer as you and i think you just have soft little lady eyes or something...
the xone hardly burns my retina's.... as far as the 1603... i haven't tried it but i think the 2 channel is more to my liking, since the effects section is a little more integrated and its got a scratch fader so i don't need the third channel as badly. i'd talk to kano about its limitations before jumping into that one...
