Four things that can be done: -accept that sometimes people will get shot out of the blue. -arm everyone, reasoning that psychopathic killers are a minority and will be outgunned by the sane people. -disarm everyone and install airport-like security in all public places (x-ray, metal detector, the works) -move to Canada... doh! |

 Coolness: 44340 | Unfortunately the way the media are handling the issue this incident will be blame on people wearing Goth Style clothing, piercing, tattoos, etc. The population will be conditioned to fear the Goth or anything that's different from mainstream profile.
The main issues will be avoid which in some case is the general hate that society advertise everyday with war, lost of the human soul, everything that we do must be focused on the highest level of performance or else you're worth nothing. Lets face it there is a major problem in our country but we will rather blame it on other instead of really face the facts. It is easier to control a pollution in fear. |

 Coolness: 76735 | I was in the library at Concordia downtown and there's a big screen tv near the entrance and it was showing people running around in an area I thought looked familiar. I said Live from Montreal and I continued on my way. Outside there was a lot of traffic, more than usual for that time of day. Obviously metro was closed so I took the 165 home but damn what a ride. People were crying and praying. I didn't even know what to think since I didn't have details but now I'm just sitting here worried.
When it comes down to it, we all know someone that goes to Dawson and you just can't help but think, were they one of the ones to get shot? |
