I have totally noticed that, is it just my imagination or do girls really test guys like that? Meaning they either set little traps or say the opposite of what they really think to gauge the reaction.

You could also interpret that as NOTHING means ANYTHING ;) Seriously all this bitterness comes from codependence and failed expectations. Dont wanna be lied to? DOnt have expectations. At least until you know the person well enough to have ones reasonable of them, and even then I think expectations are pointless. Be your own person. Your best self. Dont rely on others, opposite gender or not, to make you feel good. From THIS perspective, you have the power to leave those who break your trust behind in a blink of an eye. Like a good friend of mine wisely said, "once people break my trust, I dont have the time to think bad (or good) about them". Also, you can not be manupilated relationship-wise if you know exactly what you want and where you stand on things. Even by the best liars, who usually surface rather sooner than later. PS: Girlspeak is fun. Kinda like poetry. It's all metaphorical and implicit. If logic is ever needed, you can always call them on it "SOO, what you're trying to say is: XYZ". More tims than not however, I like the structural ambiguity of it. Language of emotions is not based of logic. In absolute majority of the cases, drama is best resolved by a hice half-hour silent (or barely talking) close hug than arguing and discussing specifics. You girls out there know exactly what I mean. Hmm, I don't know. I usually say what's on my mind to my bf. Well, I hate useless drama, so I try to be as clear as possible when we talk about serious stuffs, so that there is no misinterpretation. :) (ok, sometimes it still happens, but it's mostly because of bad word choice, etc.) But testing guys? I find that quite stupid. Like, passing near a restaurant and sending him suble clues about "ouuh, restos are soo romantic" and hoping he'll get the message... Common. Just tell him you'd like to go supper with him! C'est pas compliqué messemble! ;) |

Hmm, not really... I think "implicity" (does that word exists?) is the best way to cause trouble and misinterpretations. Lol, words in themselves are fucked-up and can mean many things, now imagine if you don't tell what you think and say subtle clues, hoping the dude will understand... Eeesshh... Better to be direct and tell what you think, while being polite of course ;) |
