Dali, Turner...the list goes on to be honest i've studied art pretty hardcore for the last 6 years now and i've come to the conclusion that i'm not a fan of art from about the year 0 till 1800. why? because apart from a few trendsetters, it's ALL same. you have no idea how many pics of religion i've seen. ok sure, the church was the major patron of the arts for almost 2000 years, but fuck the same shit... i like ancient artworks and the more modern where the artist 'chose' what they wanted to do and fuck the patron. i like artists who have something to say and fuck other people
