it aint the 60s anymore so to have quality events, money helps are you calling us hippes?? ;) i agree with you: yes, you do need to put some sort of financial investment in an event so the quality is good, however there's a point in time where you have to ask yourself: are you playing just to play or playing to get paid? i don't want to turn this into a debate, you're broke, too bad, can't bring up a stage that sucks -- it will be one less stage for people to groove at. but you have your reasons for it and we're not going to push anyone into something they don't want to do. |

 Coolness: 70545 | ok, bon j'ai été un peu dur sur ma reaction... maintenant, je saisis un peu mieux votre opinion. c'est dommage que des contraintes financieres fasses que vous ne puissiez pas etre present. etant donné que c'est ça le but de notre "event" gratos c'est de faire que tout le monde puisse venir peu unporte leurs moyens financiers... mais le "pay for play it's whack" m'a semblé un peu direct et sorti de nul part. good party guys!! mais j'repond au quart de tour lorsqu'il me semble que l'on met en doute le bienfondé de l'energie qu'on fout dans ce teknival!!! en dire plus ne servirais a rien .... vous etes les bienvenus, pour jouer, poser un stage ou venir tripper... (in fact i did do teknival a couple of years ago)... but anyways, real life is always there also so not everyone can do it all the time.. in this case come June 10th I'm gonna be GETTIN' CRUNK! and shit. but still, there is nothing wrong with free techno. it is fucking cool. |

If you plan on eating food at other people's camps, it would be mighty nice if you would think of bringing a bunch of food to contribute - if everybody did this a little, we'd be pretty set. Other Shit This list needs to be divided into essential/accessory lists Personal Items Clothing clothing for hot, cold, wet, dry weather costumes sun visor/hat sunglasses towel sleeping gear Sleeping bag Blankets Pyjamas Healthcare sunscreen - at least SPF 15 toothpaste and travel brush floss and tongue cleaner toilet paper and lyme for the latrines natural disinfectant personal medications (allergies, illnesses, hallucinations (either to prevent or to induce, I can't remember which) flashlight small plastic containers for food serving bowls condoms, lube, leather whips and floggers, steel bindings, whipped cream, etc. Camp Items garbage bags shovel or pickaxe duct tape rope or twine bug spray first aid Shelter - See Shelter page for more detailed info tent rain tarps, parachutes Shade structures carpet - this is for people to sit on. you can usually find carpet in dumpsters pretty easily, just look up a carpet store in the phone book. knife or multi-tools cans for ash trays empty 5 gallon buckets Arts/Science/educational accoutrements musical instruments adapters & cords for musical/electronic equipment art supplies pencils, pens and paper clothing/material to be stenciled PA - See soundsystems speakers generator/batteries, amps rekkids recording equipment Other items tables, or table top surfaces(plywood) the more tables or stable surfaces the better. bring em down! stuff for bartering? extra batteries fm radios walkie-talkies bike pumps picks, shovels, hoes rakes - for digging shitters, compost pits and if needed, firefighting. lights, (x-mas, rope, solar-powered lawn lights, lamps) if we got enough xmas lights & extension chords, we could light all the pathways of the festival. this would be especially great for the paths to the shitters! if you have room in your vehicles and access to resources, please help.
