2 of all, you wrote "a lot of you hate"....wtf?! People love Psytrance, it's so big in the scene, so that's a total B.S. statement to me. Most Psyt-heads, only support Psytrance parties and as much as an open-minded hippie as they wanna sound, they don't support much else. but the biggest reason why some people don't like Psytrance can be answered in 1 word...Taste. There are all kinds of taste in nature and can never really disscuss tastes....am I right? Aight now let's talk about Techno hahahaha. |

 Coolness: 40010 | Lots of peeps have heard psy at parties or on great sound systems and still not like it. Often times it's too weird for them, or they find that there's too many breaks and they don't feel comfortable dancing on it. Their loss, and to each his own hehe. |

I don't know how to explain it, but after all my experiences in front of monitors, deejays, behind the decks and all, I just figured out that psytrance is a business man disguise in a raver with fluo hair and flashy clothes. I still don't know how to explain it but psytrance got that commercial flavor who tends to be what it is not; you know, all those ''tzuuu tzuuu'' -lazers sounds like* who are SO COOL, PSYCHEDELIC... There's one last point that makes me hate psytrance: the mix. Every time I hear a psytrance kick it got to be crop every 4 minutes by a fucking lousy big break of 2 minutes who just sucks. Where is the psychedelism, the hypnotism ? THE HYPNOTISM ??? Those lazers sounds, those cheap ass commercial textures are all lost within the break who just took the mental experience away. I'm still unable to explain myself. |

 Coolness: 201265 | I find psytrance now isn't very good, It used to be more about the melody and texture and now it seems just very repetitive and predictable and made to be easy for DJs to mix.
Interestingly I have the opposite view of DnB, I liked it when it was minimal and repetitive, and now I find there are too many tracks with cheesy melodies... It's not really a question of the soundsystem, good music should sound good on any soundsystem compared to badly produced music. |

even someone one who love psy can listen to very different artists that someone else that also like psy. the idea about the sound system is also true.. and everyone has different tastes !! |
