Long Distance Telephone Frauds

somebody made a 9 minutes long distance phone call to italy from our place

the weird part is that it was made under and international long distance plan that saved us $12.43... a plan we never signed up for

tried about ever telephone number search engine i was able to lookup

the number is
39 3404168154

anybody can help me figure out who or what number that is and has this happened to anybody else?

also, just thought about it this morning, there's this weird internet dialup thing that pops up when i first turn on the computer

as far as i know none of us has clicked on it except for maybe the first time we saw it

Err no blue box is for phone both ...They actuly used a phone whit the dialer on the receiver , strip the wired and plug it in....

Many kinds of phreaking are obsolete. I'd be surprised if it was a dialer also, since dialer programs typically don't call countries like Italy. Usually, they connect you to long distance numbers in places like the Carribeans where they have an agreement with the local long distance company and they get a cut of the exorbitant rates charged.

Either way, simply call your phone company. They'll likely credit the charges as a courtesy and then block all calls overseas (or at least to Italy) for you.
