All the non french people would leave, then quebec would become pure french, english would no longer be taught in high school, all those educated in quebec would then only be able to speak quebecian.. the emerging workforce would therefore be so incapable of communicating with the outside world that it's economy would have no power and a depression would start

Thats your firts answer ....Like u have lots of imagination ...

By quebec, do you mean half it's population? Cause i tend to think of quebec as being it's WHOLE population, not the seperatist half.

I'll vote yes.

Just to see what will happen. And if the yes win this time ... Everyone will shut up about that. We'll have our own nation, our own problem and we will end up in big shit like every time.

Neoform, if the yes win, what you'll do? Its just a question .

I'll join the "seperate montreal from quebec" movement that already exists today.
pretty simple.

the natives have already stated that they don't want to be dragged along with quebec, labrador is staying with canada, Montreal should too.

Let all the seperatists have their own country, and let those who aren't interested (ie, montrealers) to stay part of canada, then everyone's happy!

Montreal will be divide on this point I think.
Without any denigration, the movement count how many ppl? And are they mainly from the west of the island?
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is a Native?

It could be a great solution.

Actually the island of montreal is what's (for the most part) holding back Quebec from seperating, not the west island.

and Natives are those dudes who dumped dirt on the bridges 10 years back and held the south shore hostage for a few days. they had guns btw.

if quebec seperates from canada, they'll make sure they don't get pulled along..

Honnestly, look at every city west of st. laurent, and you'll find that they're all gonna vote no in a referrendum.

Heh, yup, and the seperatists will be (shockingly) on the east side of the wall.. how appropriate cause a decade later they'll be crying wanting to be part of canada again.
