 Coolness: 61700 | Techno music is been around since 1975. All other types let it be trance, electro, psy, and what ever other style of music in that category falls into techno music. The reason being is that all these kinds of music are all composed with recent technology instead of instruments.

 Coolness: 76685 | That's a pretty narrow-minded version of the history of Techno. It's not all written with "recent" technology. A lot of the most interesting sources are old broken machines, and techno has always involved a fusion of regular instruments with electronic ones. You can't trace that history back to 1975 precisely, it wasn't just a sudden bolt of lightning that created Kraftwerk.
