considering obi wan was sent to kill vader, i find it amusing that he leaves him smoldering away instead of just killing him. :|

if i were to rate the movie on visuals alone i'd prolly give it a 9/10 but the story/dialog was soo weak.

...what the FUCK was that bullshit? The first half of the movie blows fucking hardcore. Were Obi Wan's lines written by Monty Python wannabes? Fuckin laaaaame-ass one-liners that are only semi-funny because he sounds like a goofy brit.

The movie only gets good starting at the battle with Sammuel L Jackson and the Emperor. From that point on, it's pretty fucking good. The dialog still sucks, but it's almost like as soon as Anakin turns to the dark side, someone stepped in and said "Ok folks, we're making a movie here, and if you don't start taking this seriously we're not giving you your cuts of the action figgure sales"

Yeah I thought Obi-Wan was a little too over-the-top. He was composed and calm and showed Anakin how to analyse a situation and act accordingly. In this episode, he goes flying head on straight in the face of danger without blinking.

What the fuck ? What happened to analysing, you twat ? He decided " aw fuck it, too many ships. Let's blow them all up ". Very Jedi-like.

And as Neoform said, I'm pretty damn certain, like samurais, if you are sent to kill an opponent, especially your old padawan, you would be required to actually KILL him/her. Not leave them to rot which is not very Jedi-like either.

Bizzarely, earlier in the movie Mace Windu ( Jackson ) INSISTS the Emperor MUST BE KILLED, not trialed, since he's a sith and is a dark force jedi and all siths must be eliminated.

Clearly, Anakin is a sith when he battles Obi-Wan...but Obi-Wan leaves him alive instead of finishing him off.

Failed logic and bad dialog plagued this movie.

And I'm sorry but Hayden Christensen couldn't act if his life depended on it.

BTW, my gf pointed out that when asked, Obi-Wan said he couldn't kill his padawan as Yoda instructs him to do, despite the fact that he's lectured on how he's not Anakin anymore, he's Lord Vader, yadda yadda yadda.

So then Obi-Wan failed his mission as a Jedi. Maybe Obi-Wan should return to padawan-status.
Wuss.

Oh and I'll also agree, after seeing the Clone Wars cartoons, I thought Grievous would be a lot harder to kill. Not even close. I thought that battle was incredibly rushed.

And what's with the coughing ? This thing has a human head and heart. Did anyone see lungs somewhere ? Is he a heavy smoker ? Did he have cold ?

And he walks around like an old man. And speaks with a spanish accent. One minute he's an unstoppable killing machine, the next an old spanish guy.

* scratches back of head *

The simple fact that NSYNC had a role in it (even if it was cut out for the final version of the film) should have been a fucking SIGN FROM GOD to people that Star Wars was officially sellout bullshit.

They put NSync in it? Where? I didn't see it...

the thing with Grievous is that he caughs to show that hes half organic half machine (for ppl who dint know) and they make him sound like the big boss of the italian mafia cuz hes got a reputation as a "jedi killer" (did you see the clone wars series on teletoon? the last episodes he single handedly handles 5 jedi's at the same time, that was really cool though cuz he uses all these acrobatic moves , in the movie he sucks so much and he keeps runing away all the time).... it was a good movie though, ppl were expecting too much as i predicted. It was a good popcorn flick and was entertaining... i dint get bored at all during the movie. if you always point out every single details like that and say that it sucked, well id like to see you direct it yourself and make it better. Thats just my point of view. *PLUR* peace all

Of course it's an amazing film with fantastic art, actors and theme, but I've seen thousands of films and having the originals to compare against, these three films should have been 6 films.. prequel sexology. LOL TOOO SHORT this prequel.

He's a 4-armed killing machine, what does he care about letting his entourage know he's half-human ? To show he has some form of compassion ? To explain his blatant cowardice ? And his voice doesn't give him an italian mafia don feel. Otherwise, they should've had ALL droids say stuff like " Unit 1 and 2, wack these guys, will ya ? " or " Don't get me pissed off, Jedi. It ain't pretty when I'm angry " or instead of " Roger roger ", have them say " I'm on it, boss ".

(did you see the clone wars series on teletoon? the last episodes he single handedly handles 5 jedi's at the same time, that was really cool though cuz he uses all these acrobatic moves , in the movie he sucks so much and he keeps runing away all the time)

Exactly. He kicked waaaaay more arse in the Clone Wars cartoon than the movie. Hell, Obi-Wan should've just used Force Crush to crush Grievous heart to bits. Bingo. No fighting, nothing.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it was entertaining. I liked it. I just have a hard time with ANY movie that flagrantly dismisses logic.

The problem here lies in the fact that the Star Wars universe is so well established that's we've been treated to 40 years of movies, products, books and general discussions which defined and raffined this universe into something very detailed and rich in rules, regulations and laws.

It's pretty damn easy to point out such things considering the wealth of information available on Star Wars online or otherwise ( just ask any local geek about it to be treated to a full hour topo on Jedi powers vs Sith powers.
