our trains differ dramatically from new york. We have the world's quietest underground system, but as a result of usin the bombardier cars, spare parts are becomign scarce and maintenance is growing. Our system runs a hell of a lot better than the new york system, and the maintenance is part of that. I didn't just make that up ;) |

spoken like someone who doesn't own a car :p Roads in montreal are shut down ALL THE TIME. Every major repair in this city necessitates road closure. Don't forget that the decarie was closed every night for over 2 years. The 40 was closed for a very long time too. |

| trains are not the issue in the metro, it's more the infrastructure. I don't know if you ever stayed in a station after the last metro, but you'll see there's a lot of activity in the tunnels. There's a lot a wagon that do a lots of noise with workers that fix the tunnels, rails, station, check them (tunnels must be checked very often, we can't redo them when they're too old).
STM has a lot of spared train, like a midnight, 90% of their trains or not used, train maintenance is not the issue.
I very loved the metro in Berlin, opened all night except at 4 AM (2 metros an hour), this rocked!
In Tokyo, one of the biggest city in the world, trains and metros stop at 00:15-00:30, that sux, I was really surprised! |

| back on the topic, I usually leave around 6-7 am, when I'm too tired. I'm going back home, sleep for 5-6 hours and I do not lose my sundays! I hate losing a day because I slept all day, week-ends are too short :( |

I think we are supposed to start seeing new wagons in 2008 or 2012, I'm not sure, but they are making new wagons, they will change them all! weeeh! |

| well i usually go a bit before the headliner catch a bit of the transition act , and leave inbetween 6-8, i voted 8 because it's an ideal time. i like it when it morning and i'm in at home after breakfast by 9. when it's too late i hate the sun in my eyes i ten to hiss and run in the shade. i like to sleep and wake up at 1-2 and head for tams now that the summer is hear.
but on the other hand i'm a promoter and stay until there are to little people for it to be worth it, not saying anything bad just that when it finishes at like 10 the people that are there at 8 830 just leave when it ends so like no one is coming out and theyt all leave in a group when it ends. and those people are mainly promoter friends or people that really love the shit so they know! i already cut down enough trees for my flyers i don't waste it on people that know already if they want one they take it. but then again i like making a carpet of flyers so they walk over then i pick them up and throw them out!!!!! |
