hmm well I suppose you can use fake fireballs if you want, but I dunno how affective they'd be against someone of my caliber.

I can't tell the difference between the two so I just fight everything :D Good and evil is a christian concept I think. At least I've yet to see any indications of such concepts in cultures before the rise of the Romans.

Greetings everyone. It's really nice to see so many people into producing beats. Here is my setup:

Gear:
Ensoniq ESQ-1 synth
Novation Drumstation
Korg MS2000R
Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro
Midisport 2x2 interface

Computer:
PII IBM ThinkPad; 4GB HDD; 192MB RAM (the specs sucks, but coupled with Linux it is the PERFECT hardware MIDI sequencer)
OS: Debian Linux
Apps: seq24, Specimen, jack

I record onto a much more powerful desktop (running Linux as well) using Audacity. I can't say enough about how amazing a junk laptop plus Linux and seq24 is for sequencing and minimal sampling. It's designed for live use and is ROCK SOLID (even more so than Cubase on my desktop). Next up gear purchase wise is either a Nord Rack 2 or a Virus B. :)

AMD Athlon64 3200+ w/ 2gb of DDR400 ram (useful for the new EWQL Symphonic Choirs). Contained with in a 4U rack mount case thats worth almost as much as the computer.
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
Close to 250 sample CDs, many of them original copies
Kontakt2 for samples
Cubase SX3 for recording audio thats in sync with whats made in FLStudio
FLStudio 5 for sequencing and recording midi
Fatar SL-1100 88 Weighted Key controller (beautiful!)
Panasonic DA-7 Digital Mixer. Older model but got it for good price (*cough* free)
Edirol MD-20 Digital Active Monitors. Excellent quality for price, but obviously not the best.
Two Rode NT-1 condesor mics
Two 19in computer monitors. Cubase SX or FLStudio spanning two monitors is just golden
A massive array of effect and generator plugins, favorites include GuitarRig, B4, Absynth3, Izotope Trash, QuadFromage, Predatohm, Ohmboys, and Buffer Override
My midi cable has been ghetto rigged by attaching the midi out and midi in cables of a midi to game port converter together (used it when I had an SB Live!). They work perfectly with no latency.
