really why?

tell me what steps he took to help stop priests from molesting more kids? by relocating them? by not telling people where they were moved WHY that priest was moved?

why should the pope be responsible for the priests molesting children? ultimately the choice is theirs, no? God, blame the priests who did it, not the pope, and regardless of how many people are suffering and dying painful deaths, that doesn't mean you can't feel a bit of sympathy for an old man who is also suffering...geez...

ahem, the pope knew about the problem yet he aided the church in their coverup of the whole thing. They pretended like it didn't happen, and didn't tell anyone.

And it IS his fault, i know there are a LOT of priest that are for the idea of priests being able to marry, but the pope opposed it.

Some people are responsible for things less than human.

I wouldn't shed a tear for the pope, much like I wouldn't shed a tear for Bush, or Hitler, if I found out that they had cancer or something "painfull".

well, what have he done that's so bad?

I mean, ok he's too old-fashioned, ok he should be more modern, but you seem to compare him to Hitler, and I wonder why.

Why not? Change a paragraph or 2, re-word something.. It's not that hard. Probably easier to change a religious "rule" than to implement a new law (unless your the RIAA)

Yeah, good 'ol tax-free collection plate! And tax-free realestate! Did you know that priests/religious officials can write off all their food/clothing expenses and get it returned, much like taxes. Just takes some forms at the end of the year!

I think the next pope should be named Corky IV.

You'd have to just skip 1-3, give his name a little more credit, I don't think Pope Corky the First would go down in history, but Pope Corky the Fourth would probably get shit done.
