Thanks bag, to be honnest I appreciate the critisism, you're right, I was on pull-back binge. Though it rarely happens, if the crowd is split by mood or force and I'm tired/drunk, I start remixing in my head, and my turntable display can get a little "messy/eratic". I was stuck in this weird headspace, where pull-backs were like colorful lazers, brushing along side this huge galactic battelship that I was captain of, yet when I closed my eyes the brutal star-war went on, the galaxy was not safe that morning... when I snapped out of it, and started to leave after my set, I was told of the theft that had ocured, and had to leave with the knowledge that a bunch of people who obviously worked hard putting this party on had been robbed of what they worked for. Not to mention that this money was supposed to go to a good cause. That was pretty upsetting. I feel bad that this had to be the outcome of what seemed like a pretty good party, it sucks. Having something like that happen is a shitty lesson to learn, one that I don't think the colored coordinators deserved. All I can say is that I hope things will somehow work themselves out, if you guys are thinking of throwing a bar nite to re-coop some cash, let me know, I'd be happy to help any way I can. Milton |

I don't think anybody deserves to have money stolen. Also, about 98% of the people there were either high as a kite, or really drunk (kinda ironic that is was a drug-free party). Hopefully they (everyone that lost money) will be able to throw a fundraising event to collect the money lost from them personally, as well as donate some cash, as intended, to charity. I'm sure you guys would see mad support. Best of luck. |

About the muppet thing, don't know why but, when I play, it seems like people think that they have the right to play with the nobs and stuff (nter would know something about that). It doesn't seem to be a problem with other djs but me...So I always have to keep them off the decks. This guy wanted to do a tag-team, I didn't want to but he was quite annoying like "We like the same stuff I know we can do this but no pressure!" all night he was telling that there was "no pressure". And yes I was drunk, I was really really drunk. No substances, what am I supposed to do? So I just figured that if he queued his godamn record, he'd leave me alone. Not enough it was, he had to queue a second one and messed it up royaly, anyways. Next gig, fuck it, no one is touching anyhting and I'm not getting as drunk 'cause that's why I didn't really care about letting that dude play his 2 resords(puked 3x yaaaay!). :D But the dance floor was still going at it, so there must have been somthing right, right? Unless everyone was just wasted like me. |

I think you (the cc krew) should go around various boards putting up an address or location, that the thief/thieves could return the money to if he/she/they felt like doing the right thing. Given the the chance they may want to. Ofcorse their identity wouldn't have to be known. Maybe you could even go around a few record stores and put up a poster. It can't hurt to try. I hope everything works out. |

Amazing Party. Loads of fun. Great DJs. More detailed review later... But on the money issue ... The fact that money got stolen from a party such as this re-affirms my loss of faith in mankind (which happened quite a while ago). I really hope the money gets found. Of course, most likely it won't be. I really feel for you guys... maybe what Kathrin suggested is a good idea, although I somehow doubt the thief would return the cash if he/she/they stole it in the first place. Maybe a fundraiser party to make up lost expenses is a better idea. Ticket price could be high-ish and people would still come I'm sure. What else can I say... If you need an extra part-time bouncer for that or any next party you're throwing, I can do it. As long as I get to go dance once in a while, it's totally no problem. Gotta work... I'll be back to this thread |
