Hey i have a Fido Pay as You go phone, it's a Nokia 5190. It's got the SIM card in there meaning it has a number and all you need to do is buy a minutes card and you're ready to go. Comes with battery, charger, and that's it that's all. 20$ for a ready to use phone.

Yeah they're old school but really good for battery life and reception, that's why i got it. But work got me a new phone and are forcing me to use theirs. It's a tiny little shit phone with no antenae and no reception and after 4 calls it's fucking dead because the battery is tiny.

i had that phone..... worst reception ever. if you are in the city it was ok, but the second you get on the 20 east ( say towards quebec) it had no reception at all.

cell phones help you if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, and this phone could not do it...it was one of many reasons why i switched to telus

FIDO SUX!!!!!!

Fido just got bought by Rogers, they combined the networks. Fido phones now have much better coverage, especially outside the city

that's weird because my friend just got it and the ads in the newspaper say '25$'
but then you have to pay a bunch of fees so it turns into 35

yeah i have a 25 dollar plan but i pay almost double that every month too. there's am extra 5 bucks for caller id and voicemail, a 7 dollar charge just for having the phone (which is fucking ridiculous, they should advertise the plan as 32 dollars AT LEAST) plus tax, plus text messaging charges.

so i end up paying about 48 bucks. and i tried to switch to pay as you go, but they told me there's a 25 dollar charge for downgrading your plan. that's a total fucking scam.

bottom line: fido are nazis.
