If there was acid techno genouses like Aaron, Chris or Julian Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Rowland the Bastard, Five Alive, Woolie, Dragonfly, and about thirty other west coast and UK Drum and Bass, Acid and Happy Hardcore DJ's and a couple other top not UK djs that were booked would people go see them?
After the summer festivals, with top notch positive people showcasing there skillz, maybe they'd want to touch down before going out west to gigs, I know that they play frequently out there and I never see any or hear about any of them except through friends, but i just cant jump on a plane and be in Leeds, England or Brazil. Maybe they see and hear and know the hatin in Montreal and dont like the attitudes. Dont know.
I do know that any of these guys, play it would be a great venue, but im afraid that they have specifications as to where and who they play with
I dont know, when i was younger we used to promote Slip and Slide, Rowland the Bastard, etc.
Im not ranting im just saying the last great int' djs here where Infected Mushroom , never ever anyone else....WTF and why? What are these promoters hiding?
_peace-

If there's anybody from the Stay Up Forever crew that is booked to play in montreal, then I'll be the first one to attend the party

it's been a hell of a long time since I last heard some real acid in a party, that's sad because it's way better than all the crappy music we hear now at parties

Since you are part of the IDJ family I guess that you refer to good djs in the dnb scene, which is probably true, but I don't follow that scene so I couldn't tell.

But when people like a dj that isn't even capable of doing onlu because they are "high", then I call that having no taste.

anyway, I don't want to debate about my opinions, maybe I'm wrong, the thing is I found that very sad that Acid doesn't get the appreciation it deserves

And good Djs in acid...
Rowland the Bastard... Just amazing...
He shifts from a tune to another, then goes back to the previous tune... I have a mixtape of him (taken from the radio lol) and it's crazy :D

LuckyStar ; i meant dj's from all sortos of music ..
not defending my interests or whatever ..

anyways we agree in some way ;
We lack acid

Last time i went to see Dave The Drummer + Chris Liberator at Sona ; they didnt even play a single acid track ..
thats when it started to become ;UK TECHNO instead of acid techno ..
same producers, same labels,same dj's ;
same speed of the beats, and same kicks
minus the 303 sounds and the high-pitched acid sounds

too bad
Start spinning some if u really miss it ;
you'll get bookings i'm quite sure

So peace out and long live music

Hey it's LuckyC as in LuckyCharm not LuckyStar
you've hurt my feelings :(
hehe

but you are right, I should had formulate my first sentence better. What I really meant was that there is a lot of so called djs that I think really don't deserves to be where they are.

I've been spinning acid at parties between 2k1 and 2k2, but I stopped playing at parties, didn't want to be a part of what it's becomed anymore. And I doubt people would want to book me for an acid set nowadays.

And yeah, it's pretty sad that every Acid big names are playing something else, even our best local acid dj is playing house now :
