 Coolness: 93340 | ROFL...ok-ok, so maybe I was on the electric side of the fence yesterday...sorry folks, it just grills my bits to know that peeps wana do something, they just want the bolts and nuts for free...I'm trying to encourage peeps into looking and finding things for themselves; I'm as ready as any other git to give tons of advice...but I'm never gunna hand out venues, myself and my cohorts spent countless hours scouting in this city...that was the price that we paid to get fresh venues, and it's the price we shall keep paying in an effort to throw constantly solid/original events...
It's just that it's always dope 2 see others take the time to solidify their own events and help maintain the high level of quality/creativity that past "underground" events have set the Montreal standard at...(gets off his horse) Ufot-the books & they foot back |

Is it really that bad for me to ask for a list of venues that can be used for an event? Is it really necessary to embarass me like that on this forum for asking that question? Do you think I really want to go around looking for a "fresh and hot" new fucking venue, just becaue you're so fucking cool and underground for doing it yourself? NO!! It's not even for me! I'm not even a fucking promoter!! It's for my brother who needs a hall -or anyplace- that can hold over 500-people to hold an event for some artists that he's working with who are flying into Montreal !! Sure, promoters wouldn't like to give up a venue that took them ages to find to some lazy little bastard, which is fine by me!!! You don't need to go off saying that retarded shit you spewed out in your first three posts! |

Re venues, of course you want to be the first to use a new venue but after that you should be willing to share the information with other promoters who you respect. Holding venues (and music like someone else said) is a selfish thing to do and negatively impacts the scene. |
