i just came to see it at union square... i'm huge fan of special effect make up and gore...
yes... i was amazed by the image way much more stylish that what i was waiting for..(i didn't see preview before going..only read few review..) the camera was awesome... the casting excellent... my attention was all on the screen even the absence of any plot or complexe screenplay.. some dialogues was interesting some other was awfull. but something bother me...and i'm so surprise that i'm the only one who point that here. ----> THAT MOVIE IS SUCH I HUGE AMERICAN PROPAGANDA! it's like : OMG! that;s what really amazed me the most. it's look like some lobby guy in Washington/hollywood made an excellent job! in so many dialogue the word "freedom" was mention?! when the grece queen address her concern in front of the council,. her dialogue look like a bush one!!"let our son going to this war and fight for the right to freedom"!! hahaha even the exterior decor(mountain and field of wheat..) was making reference in so many way to american culture! you know this old patriotique song :"america the beautiful"... they even found a way for talking shit and put their little morality about homosexuality...when they make reference in a negative way to athene and say something like: aaarr little boys lovers.. hahaha wow. that was gross. (not the cutting of body..that i love. i meant the obvious republican propagande is so wrongly into the ass of young america..) but yeah. action was fabulous.

Yeah, a movie based on a serries of comics that came out in 1998 is TOTALLY american propaganda. Frank Miller can see into the future.

oh! but i think u don't understand something about propaganda... : propaganda can be aply to any form of art, i can tell you the same story in so different way with my morality include in it.. it's like tale ... when i study in literature i realise that exist hundreds of version of "le petit chaperon rouge"... each very different and with a different message on it... but it's always the same story...
look: they were propaganda on that movie...already alot of people think that before me.. and that's any link with when it was writting...it could have been writting in 1900 and you can make propagande with it! i see any link in that. sorry man. frank miller is a genius of his genre and the director on that is incredible...i had admire his couragous work on the remake of dawn of the dead.. :)
