I dunno George,
EVERYONE SAMPLES...its part of the culture... Afrika bambaataa, a major pioneer of electro funk and hip hop sampled Kraftwerk (another "gay" European electro group ;)to make Planet Rock, his biggest track... I mean hip hop is just a genre that started by sampling huge chunks of funk records...which basically makes breakeat obsolete because it started out with guys just speeding up sampled hip hop breaks (amen brother!)...which completely invalidates dnb because dnb was originally just guys taking sampled breakbeats and making them even faster...Lol...I'm being sarcastic obviously, I don't really care if people sample if they make a good track as a result...I've loved "Harder better faster" since it came out and I've listened to the original which is a pretty obscure and I doubt no one would really give a shit about it today if Daft Punk hadn't sampled it... Anyhow they were HUGE in Montreal during the 90s...& they were way ahead of this whole electro house sound and more importantly they are extemely relevant right now...If you listen to any of this new wave French electro music thats blowing up everywhere locally right now, you'll realize how important these guys are :) I can garantee you the Bell Centre will be PACKED for this one... |

This show will be massive. Not to mentionned that The Rapture's are opening!! Im expecting this show to make my all time TOP 5. Probably somewhere between Beastie Boys & RadioHead. Plus, even with high expectations, Im sure to be surprised. How exciting!
