When a genre becomes popular or more mainstream, the market gets flooded with generic copycats, which ultimately dilutes the whole thing and makes it less appealing.

The best time for any genre is when it is truly underground or at its beginning because its still completely new, fresh and untainted. When it turns into a formula its finished for me. There's nothing remotely interesting or cool about formulaic music, its just plain boring.

Like I said the next underground is already started we just haven't found a name for it yet.

and ya you're right he is from Toronto - I met him there years back playing at some of his Pink:sox jams. he's a fucking awesome person and throws amazing free breakcore/jungle/strange music parties.

him and Luke Peril also threw the WHAM jam back in November which was fun. he's definitely a good addition to the Montreal scene =)
