I love how when I reinstalled Windows, I changed around the location of two links on my browser quick-bookmark bar.. for 8 years I've had ravewave as the far-left one, but now it's the cyberpunk community forum, and it's so awesome. I click the link out of habit when I want to go to ravewave, and end up on a forum with intelligent people!

None of this "DID EXTACY REALLY KILL PEOPLE?" threads. No "BORING" or "OMG WTF LOL" or "LOOK I'M SO IMPORTANT I'M GOING TO POINT OUT THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON NO ONE HAS PANICKED ABOUT MY ABSENCE FROM THIS FORUM" threads.

It's great.

Unfortunately, Extacy =! mdma

If it was real, pure MDMA caps, chances are they'd have been OK.. but "extacy" is pressed pills that mostly contains garbage and a little sprinkling of various things.. So, yes, "extacy" killed the people; the sketchy pills that you get from the random biker-dealers that show up at every party.

I'm going to just jump in and add that they're still recovering from the floods in Thailand; not only did the HDD factories get hardcore fucked up, but the mines where they get the rare-earth magnets also got flooded. You're looking at paying upwards of 100$ for a 1tb internal HDD right now, and it's gonna be like that at least until mid to late summer.

It's not so much the pain that's the issue. Any booking I take has a chance that I won't be able to make it, which I make sure to let promoters know.

I live my life around having to be 1 minute or less away from a toilet that I can use, because for no predictable or controllable reason, my colon can and will just say "Fuck this, I was fine 2 seconds ago but now I'm going to unleash the motherfucking FURY!"

It was worse and more risky when I hadn't been properly diagnosed/medicated (missed 3-4 gigs because of it), and now it still IS a possibility, but it's a little more under control, and if I take Immodium the day before and the day of a party, and don't eat for at least 24h before my time-slot, I'm uuuuuuuusually OK.

My life at this point is pretty much ruled by complete and total terror the second I step out of the door to my place.. Those times when you get sick, like have a gastro, bad food, whatever, and you HAVE to run to the bathroom because you *JUST* got the "10 second warning before evacuation" from your ass.. That's how I shit now. I don't "know" that I'm gonna have to take a dump "soon", or feel like "Ok, my gut feels full, 10-20 more minutes I'm gonna need to take a shit". I *ONLY* either feel absolutely fine, and then suddenly OH FUCK GET TO A BATHROOM NOW IT MIGHT ALREADY BE TOO LATE!!!

Imagine spending the rest of your life terrified to go out and get groceries because in the 10 minute walk there and/or back, you might suddenly and completely randomly have to take a gastro-level-emergency dump. Every time you go on the metro. Every time you take a bus. Every time you get in a car. Every time you go out to a party, or a bar or a club. Any time you're doing anything, you live in constant fear that for totally random and uncontrollable reasons, you could violently shit yourself if you don't have access to a toilet within 30 seconds.

That's what my life has been like for the past 5 1/2 years. That's why I don't often go out. But despite that, I still have a passion for playing music or listening to music that's absolutely tearing me up inside because of this constant fear and terror I live in when I'm not at home. Despite the fact that I may not be able to make it to a gig at the very last minute, I still push myself as much as I can for them.. that's why I show up at gigs shortly before my set and leave shortly after. it's why I don't go anywhere unless I've got at the very least a lift back home. But everyone for some retarded reason sees me taking care of my health as 'not supporting the scene'.

I've got a lot of resilience NOW, but with all the shit I've been going through with my health my whole life, getting beaten and told I'm worthless for all of my formative years by everyone from parents to other kids at school, I never managed to develop it until it was entirely too late for me to do anything with it.

And the problem with what "people" are saying is that they're more pissed off about what I'm saying about the music they love (the shitty wubwub dubstep and boring soft DnB) so of course they're going to say that what I mix isn't interesting or that I'm not an interesting DJ. No one here likes the kind of DnB/hardcore that I play, unless it's a big headliner that's playing it. Dogs on Acid, for example, love my mixes. Ok, compared to 'big-name headliners' 600 mix downloads isn't anything special, but for some nobody in Canada, I've got a ton of fans in Europe and all over, and when I post mixes on Dogs on Acid they usually get downloaded over 300 times within the first 24h by people who LOVE what I put up.

Really, it's just that here in Montreal the crowds aren't "into" the kind of hard beats that Cooh, Panacea, Current Value, etc. put out, they just want dubstep, electro and jump-up DnB. I look at videos for the Therapy Sessions and I wish we had huge crowds like that for hard music here in Montreal, instead of shit like Bal En Blanc. Montreal just doesn't have the crowd for what I play. If I was in Europe it would be a totally different story. I mean really, can you in your wildest dreams imagine 5000-10000 people at a 2-room hardcore/hard-dnb event in Montreal? It would be fucking amazing to have something like what they do in Europe with hard music, but sadly our ravers here just aren't ready for something that isn't pre-chewed and spoon-fed to them by the dozens of Beatport Top-10 Djs we've been flooded with.

The way I think is more on the level of being a futurist than an inventor/creator of things.

Emancipated at 13, I only WISH I could have had that kind of luck. I spent a week homeless when I was in grade 6 and living in the forest near my house when my mother kicked me out and I wasn't talking to my father, both of which were violent alcoholics that beat the SHIT out of me every single day. I started seeing shrinks when I was 4 and stopped when I was 17.

When I was 12 I spent 2 months in Intensive Care at the Children's because I was dying of Wegener's Granulomatosis ( [ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov ] ). 2 IVs for a drip feed and a third "tap" IV for taking blood tests, every hour on the hour, x-rays every 4 hours, every 12 hours draining my lungs of blood with needles that must have been 6" to reach the inside of my lungs from my chest and my back (front left/right, back left/right) and every 24h getting injected with some radioactive solution for an MRI and ultrasound. I spent almost a year learning to walk and talk again when I got out of that, and when I finally started living with my parents again I was getting beaten and kicked out constantly, bouncing around from parents to uncles to grandparents to friends and back and forth, and because of my health problems they wouldn't emancipate me.

Would I have loved to do something important with my life? Yeah, totally. But I'm willing to bet that Stephen Hawking had a hell of a lot more help, encouragement and love from his parents than I got. I really doubt that they used to get drunk and beat him with metal chairs when he was 6. I doubt that his drunk mother had ever told him that the only reason she had him was because his father was going to break up with her and she knew he wanted a child, so she "forgot" to take the pill for a couple of months, and that she never wanted him or loved him and that he was just her meal ticket.

He's gone through a lot with his disability, and come out on top, luckily for him. Me? I never had any encouragement from anyone. Anything I was interested in was "stupid" and not worth learning. I had the capabilities, but was never encouraged or guided by anyone to do anything.

Have I got issues? Absolutely. But intelligence and thinking aren't a problem, quite far from it.

As for my mixing, I guess it's up to the individual listener, but I know that Nathan loves what and how I mix. The only reason I'm not getting gigs is because I'm opinionated and I'm very vocal about things I like and don't like. You put me up against ANY DJ you can think of and I guarantee you I will hold my own on their level or better. You "heard" from people that I'm not good, well, do you trust every idiot that tells you something without questioning or researching it yourself? Why don't you judge for yourself if I can mix and what my track-selection is like. Go grab some mixes, specifically the ones by Screwhead or FUKNOYZ, the Plan C mixes are in there because of a bug in the system that I've been asking Noah to fix for over 2 years now. Learn to make up your own mind instead of taking what you're told by others at face-value. My beatmatching isn't an issue, and my track selection is the same style as what you'd hear from a set by Panacea, Cooh, Current Value, Donny, Limewax, Enduser, etc.. When I played a tag with Sickness at Heroes Vs. Villains, I had to change more than half of what I planned on playing because Lenny Dee already played a ton of the tracks I was going to play, so I guess yeah, if you don't like his track selection or his style, you're not going to like mine.

Maybe Noah should change the subject of what the music section is, because everyone seems to know and understand that the Music and Production section isn't a section for just generally talking about music, it is a section for talking about MUSIC PRODUCTION (the Korn thread has nothing to do with how to produce better, or about someone's own productions) or MUSIC TECHNOLOGY (the Korn thread has nothing to do with new software, new synth hardware, new VSTs, etc..)

The Music Production and Technology section is a place for the producers and gear-heads to exchange tips on production, post articles on new hardware synths and VSTs, for DJs to post their mixes, for producers to post their tracks, etc..

It's *ALWAYS* been about that, or at least it has been since I started posting on Ravewave in 2002. It's never changed. That is the section for promoting MUSIC, for putting music to be downloaded, sample packs, VSTs, production tips, etc..

Is it really that hard to see the difference between a board section FULL of self-promotion or discussing music technology, and then think that a general thread about how shit some new mainstream album is somehow fits into a section about self-promotion and technological music production discussion?

And if you look back, the only person here who even said anything about those shitty russian sites was YOU. NO ONE else was talking about them until YOU jumped in here yelling and screaming at everyone. This was a(n attempted) discussion about Megaupload, SOPA/PIPA/ACTA and how it will destroy the internet, and how the US Govt. went after Megaupload MYSTERIOUSLY one month after they announce that they're going to run a music service that PAYS ARTISTS to GIVE AWAY MUSIC! But you came in here and for whatever reason misunderstood EVERYTHING we were starting to talk about and totally derailed it into a "OMG YOU ALL SUPPORT PIRACY YOU'RE ALL EVIL YOU GUYS ARE THE REASON INDEPENDENT ARTISTS ARE STARVING TO DEATH!"

You do this EVERY SINGLE TIME something like this comes up, and frankly you always will, because now that you're working "in the business", you have a biased view as your way of life and your job are challenged, and that clouds you from being able to see why it is that these things we're discussing about are extremely important. You just come in yelling and screaming EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that we're all evil and destroying music and killing labels. The thing I had posted may have been an inflamatory jab at you, but if you look at what you're saying, it's the EXACT same thing that the RIAA and MPAA are saying to push SOPA/ACTA/PIPA, laws that are worded SO vaguely that they would outright destroy the internet.

And then you yourself said: and i'm not talking of course about the guy who go on megavideo watching a sitcom with no toiletpaper ads...

Why is it that the law should only apply to things that YOU think they should apply to, but not the rest? People still have to get paid for those TV shows. There's a HELL of a lot more mouths and families to feed with the cast and crew of one TV show than there is with the people involved in 1 2-track release from any major or minor record label. Does that make it OK to pirate the shows and watch them without permission?

It's not something you get to pick and chose. "Oh, well, downloading music is BAD, but TV shows and movies, that's OK!" It's all or nothing; do you want copyright law to be enforced as strictly as it is being written out in the SOPA/ACTA/PIPA proposals, or not?

As for what I do with my day, I'm pretty certain a good 99% of the board knows that I have Crohns. And yes, currently I am on welfare, but only because my doctor never told me SHIT about it, other than "here's a prescription" and then forgetting I exist, but I'm in the process of talking to a foundation that specializes in bowel disease for some help in finding things I can do, because it turns out that Crohns is such a severe disease that I am considered to be physically disabled due to it's effects.

I'm not sitting infront of my computer posting on RW and Facebook all the time because I'm lazy and don't want to find a job, I'm doing it because I spend 3h a day shitting. 3-4 times a week I spend over 6 hours in the bathroom while it feels like I'm being stabbed in the stomach, and that's an improvement now that I'm on medication.

As for what I do and what my specialties in technology are, I've been using computers since I was 2 years old. I didn't know how to speak or read english, but I knew how to do anything I needed to do in DOS back in 1982. When I was in grade school, I skipped grade 3 and grade 5, then I skipped Secondary 2 because, frankly, I'm a goddamn genius. I skipped grade 3 because in Grade 2, when the class had to read and do a book report on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I gave the teacher a 3 page analysis on how the book was an allegory for the Last Temptation of Christ, and how Willy Wonka and the Everlasting Gobstopper was a metaphor for Satan tempting Jesus. I was 7 years old.

I was given an IQ test that came back with a result of 188 (now I only rate 135 though), which is why I was skipping every grade that wasn't a challenge for me. The principal actually spoke to me and my parents, and I was allowed to skip any grade *I* wanted to skip if I felt it wasn't challenging enough for me. I was 10 years old in Secondary 1 and correcting the math and french teachers.

When I dropped out of Sec. 3, it was because I was bored with school and there's nothing the teachers could teach me. 1 year later I went to Adult Ed and they gave me a test to see what level to put me at in different classes, and the only two classes I got put in was Sec. 5 English and Math 536; I was outright passed on Sec. 5 French and EVERY OTHER COURSE OFFERED IN THE QUEBEC SCHOOL CURRICULUM on the results of a PLACEMENT EXAM! The only reason I don't have a High School diploma is because I got bored of the math, and only went back to adult ed again 6 years later, but then I got into drugs and raves and said 'fuck school I want to get involved in music'.

So you want to know what my specialty is? My specialty is that I think on a level that you couldn't even BEGIN to understand. I see, hear, understand and analyze things on a degree that most professional scientists have to think in when doing PhD-level work. I was using computers at an age when most children have just learned to walk and talk, and all my life I have been extremely closely following technology, it's uses, how it's changing the world, and how it COULD change the world. I've been thinking philosophically and deeply about myself and the world to the point where I actively decided that I was an Atheist when I was 4 years old, because the thought of a God watching over us seemed like too childish of a thing to me, and the bible left too many unaswered questions.

as for:

Nothing has been deleted, they've been moved to the apropriate section, which is the one that is specifically for self-promotion or discussion on things that involve creating music. If your Korn thread had been "How can I make my guitar sound like this song?" or "How do I make a synth like this?", it would have also been moved to that section. But that's not what it was about, it was a general discussion about something that's pretty shit.

This is why it's not even worth talking to you about this. You can't intelligently converse about a topic without thinking everyone is attacking you and that everyone is out to get you and that everyone hates you and is planning on bringing you down.

Sorry, but you're not that important.

All you do is repeat the same barely-coherent garbage about toilet paper companies like how Mickos is always talking about ramen in a way that makes absolutely no sense. You don't even seem to understand the difference between the words steal and copy.

Is it wrong that there are people taking music that doesn't belong to them and are making money off of it? ABSOLUTELY! You're not going to hear any argument from me about that. What those russian sites are doing is some shady business, and yes they should get shut down.

But that's not what this is about. This is about you wanting complete and total strict totalitarin control over something that there is NO way for you to have without completely and totally breaking the way the Internet, computers and computer operating systems operate.

SOPA/PIPA/ACTA are ALL about the language that's in them, and how it can be abused. That's why people are against it. The PERSONAL piracy (something that, by the way, is LEGAL in Canada, because we pay a levy on all forms of blank media that can store pirated data) isn't even an issue, because as was brought up by at least one other person, labels chose to interpret someone downloading their song and listening to it as if it was a lost sale, but really it's no different than when you used to record a music video on TV or a song on the radio to listen to on your own time.

And Megaupload, the other major thing in this thread title, as I posted, got shut down 1 month after they started testing a service that would EARN MONEY for the artists DIRECTLY from free plays. They were opening a service where EVERYONE could listen to anything they want, for free, and thanks to advertising, the ARTISTS still make money off of it. I thought you agreed that artists need to get paid? Why would you be against something that PAYS artists DIRECTLY for giving away their music for free? Oooooooh, right, YOU WORK FOR A LABEL, so these revolutions would put YOU out of a job.

Who's interest do you really have? The artists? The love of music? Or your own wallet?

This is my last reply to any of your posts on the issue. If you want to actually learn to read, and learn what the meaning of the words COPY and STEAL are, and then maybe learn to put a sentence or two together that doesn't involve just repeating the same thing over and over again while ignoring anything anyone says and not doing any research yourself, you are not worth talking to. It's like trying to have a conversation with a wall.

The 1%/99% thing was a low blow, and a childish attempt at an insult and riling you up, and I'm sorry about that. But the fact remains that you do NOT understand what we are talking about, and until you do, you should stay out of the discussion until you have educated yourself to the facts and the contents of the laws that the rest of us were trying to discuss in a civilized manner before you came in here yelling, screaming and ranting like a lunatic about toilet paper and Russian sites.

You do not understand the technology, you do not understand the wording, you do not understand the laws that we are against. You are freaking out like Fox News; completely uninformed and telling nothing but biased half-truths and lies, and that is not the kind of thing that can be taken seriously in a conversation about the very real future of the internet and our right to accessing uncensored information.

And if you actually READ the thread on the "party" mickos is talking about, you'd also be 99% certain that it's a joke. Did you read the one about the Megaupload thing? That would have benifited EVERYONE but the labels. The plan was to give away all the music for free, the only thing is you have to download it from that website, and the adds on the site generate money that's spread around to all the artists signed up.

they didn't shut it down because it was a piracy site, though that's the cover story for it. They shut it down because he'd come up with a business model that would give artists 90% of all the add revenue generated. Since it is/was a major site, they've already got tons of companies buying advertising on it. He made over $175 million from the adds when it was being used almost entirely for piracy. What he wanted to do was set up a music service that worked the same way, but gave the artists 90% of the add revenue they generated.

Everyone could have gotten the music for free, AND the ARTISTS could have gotten payed for it.

That's a pretty stupid example. No one is taking credit for creating the music that's being pirated, though there have recently been issues with producers getting pissed off that people were remixing their tracks without their permission, to which I say "Where did you get your drums? Did you pay for all your samples? Those hiphop acapellas you've chopped out a bit of to use, did you pay for that? What about the movie samples in your tunes? Are you paying MGM or Warner or whoever the fuck owns the original movie that awesome sci-fi sample came from?"

And while we're at it, does anyone actually read the copyright information on the records and tracks you play? Did you know you're not allowed to play those records out to a crowd of people as a DJ unless you've asked each and every record label for the right to play the individual tracks out?

By copyright laws, every single DJ mix made by a DJ that hasn't gotten permission to use EVERY SINGLE TRACK from the original producer or label themselves is violating copyright law.

"Oh, but, fair use, it's 'understood' that the music is going to be used for DJ mixes, so the labels that release music made for DJ mixes turn a blind eye to it and let the independents do it"

So the law only applies, then, if the label is willing to enforce/police it themselves? It's OK to do one form of copyright infringement, but not another?

When is the last time you bought a record or an MP3/WAV and then contacted the label and asked for permission to play the tune out at gigs or to put the tune in mixes? Because by copyright law, every single time you've NOT done this, you've broken copyright law and done something illegal.

And to get slightly back on target.

Do you know what Megaupload just got shut down NOW?

Remember that quote from the MPAA guy about the govt. supporting them, when he was outright saying that he would stop giving money to people who didn't support them 100%?

"Those who count on quote 'Hollywood' for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who's going to stand up for them when their job is at stake. Don't ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don't pay any attention to me when my job is at stake,"

Well, what do you think the RIAA said behind closed doors when, on Dec. 21st, 2011, Megaupload anounced that they were starting a legal MP3 store like Amazon, Beatport, Itunes, etc

This is 100% about control. Plain and simple totalitarian control over EVERYTHING.

Welcome to something we like to call "the real world". NO ONE is 100% in charge of their destiny or the destiny of their creations. No one plans to get into a car accident and die, no one plans to fall off a horse and get crippled.

To take it a step further; no parent wants their child addicted to heroin. No parent wants their child to become a prostitute. No parent wants their child to be a mass murderer or a serial killer. What about THEIR plans? What about what THEY want to happen to something that THEY created?

The real world is a chaotic, unpredictable thing, where NOTHING ever goes 100% according to plan. You have only two options when it comes to being the "master of the destiny" of something:

1: you never let it leave the house. You never let it look out the window. You never let ANYONE know that you've created this thing you want to control the destiny of. You lock it away in a safe, only for you to enjoy and no one else.

or

2: You create something, raise it, nurture it, watch it evolve, and eventually you let it go out into the REAL WORLD. Once it's out in the REAL WORLD, it's destiny is not yours to control anymore. It's got to make it's OWN friends, it's got to make it's OWN mistakes. By sharing/exposing anything to even ONE other person, you've released it and let it out into the wild to get it's own independence.

When you make art and release it to the world, your child is finally 18 and legal and can now go out and do what it wants. It's subjected to it's environment, just like every other piece of art/music/whatever. You may not like what some people are doing with it, but just because it's your child doesn't mean you have the right to police everyone. You're a parent, not a pimp.

But see, again, you don't seem to understand the actual WORDS themselves, how are you even going to try and argue something when YOU are the person who doesn't understand the difference between THEFT and COPIED?

Seriously, you learn this shit before even getting to kindergarten! Making a COPY of something does NOT deprive the owner of the original of his original; he is still free to do what he sees fit to do with his original.

If I photocopy a book, that's COPYING, and that's PIRACY; anyone can still read the book, anyone can still buy the book, because the original has not gone ANYWHERE.

Now, if I take the book itself, that is THEFT; no one can read it because I have it, the original owner can't sell it because I have it.

It's EXACTLY what the poster with the piggy says at the bottom: PIRACY is what happens when I steal your car, but your car is still there in the morning for you to drive, sell, whatever, even though I'm also driving it around town at the same time.

I think the problem here is that you don't seem to understand what stealing is.

If I go into a record store, steal a copy of the latest ISR release and run out, there is a loss; the store has one less unit to sell. If I take it even further, and go to every single store on the planet, every single warehouse, and steal every single ISR record that's ever been made, that would be theft.

If instead I decided to download the whole ISR discography, does that mean you can't sell it anymore? Is it gone? Is it missing? No, it's still exactly where it was, and it's still available to sell to anyone that wants it.

In common usage, theft is the illegal taking of another person's property without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it.

If YOU have a copy of the thing I just "stole" from you, well, I didn't STEAL it.

The proton pack isn't exactly the best of arguments for your case. In fact what I did for the proton pack is actually a LOT closer to what you're pissed off about with the russian sites.

Ghostbusters is a Sony IP, and I never asked for the rights to their intellectual property to make my pack. In fact, I took a combination of blueprints that were unofficially put together, bought a bunch of part replicas from people who ALSO have absolutely no licensing agreement to replicate the parts from Sony.

Fortunately for me, Sony encourages fans like me and those that make prop replicas, but, for example, Star Wars fans actually have to go through the official LucasArts "fan organization" (The 501st Legion) if they want to do any sort of public appearance wearing any props or replicas of Star Wars stuff.

I payed for some unofficial part replicas and just put some stuff together myself, but the people I bought from don't have any sort of distribution or licensing deal from Sony, and I haven't bought/rented/contracted any IP Licensing Agreement with Sony for my Proton Pack replica, so technically I *AM* doing something illegal, and it's illegal in the exact same ways as music piracy is. What I did is no different that paying some russian website $10 for a membership fee and then downloading 320s of everything I want.

..so if you're in it for the music and not the money, why is the money so important? Isn't it more important that hundreds, thousands, MILLIONS of people, hear your music?

Then when you hit their city on tour, you're not paying for 500 roadies, 12 guys to keep your guitars in tune, 15 guys to set up your drum kit, 400 amps, 6000 speakers, 73 tourbuses, etc.. All the cash that gets paied goes towards the artist and/or paying the tour (if you haven't run a deal with the event promoter to pay your ticket to the country/hotel/etc that is)..

Spread the music to as many people as possible; the ones that are truly fans and truly love the stuff WILL support it. Hell I'm in the process of going through Beatport and buying every single track that I've downloaded and played without paying in the past, even if I'm not planning on playing it out anymore, just to show support and to actually give the artist who made it a little back.

For some stuff, there's also to factor in that some people have, say, already bought a tune on vinyl, but now there's no fucking turntables anywhere, it's all fucking CDs or laptops.. So if I have a tune I payed $15 for (ONE TUNE), now, what? I have to pay for it AGAIN? $1.99 more.. wait, no, MP3s sound like crap, so $2.99 MORE for ONE TUNE that I payed $15 +tax for. If I actually want the whole single, it's another $5.98.. (and that's not even going into idiotic shit like how Ill Skillz - Bowser, only has the vocals on the vinyl release! The digital doesn't have it, or at least didn't the last time I checked and got really pissed off)

And then there's shit like the "region locking".. "Sorry, but you can't buy this track because it wasn't licensed for use in your country.".. Well, I *WAS* going to pay for it, but now my only choice is to pirate it, because of stupid label bullshit.

EVERYTHING needs to change. HOW is the question, but the old way is just absolutely NOT going to work anymore. Sitting in a studio for 6 months and putting out an album is NOT going to get anyone enough money to live, it's a plain and simple FACT of what's happened thanks to this new global technology. You can't just sit on your ass and expect to be making tons of money on something you released last year anymore, you HAVE to tour.

Here's an idea; put up some mixes and free tracks for download, maybe an album or two, or hell, the whole back-catalog of a label (everything, say, pre-2005).. then track what country it's downloaded from, and you'll have a fairly accurate set of numbers for where you should go tour, because that region/country/city loves your stuff.

It never fucking fails to amaze me how the people I have the hardest time understanding are people writing in French or English on [ rave.ca ] where French or English are their first and second languages.. How the fuck is it that I have an easier time understanding a 40 year old dutch punk that spends 3/4 of his time posting drunk than you people who actually learned to speak the language you're writing in as your first or second language, and not your fourth!
