True but that was still one of the most complete, consistant rock albums that I can remember listening to back in my youth. I suppose social associations to music also influence how people enjoy or interpret it. Say you used to fuck the love of your life to a particular album... say Smash by the Offspring for example (which mind you was an incredible and consistant album regardless) one might arbitrarily consider that album "better" than other albums by the same, or even other artists / bands because of the memories that listening to it triggers. So I guess depending on how or whether music is associated with memories and/or personal emotions, one might consider a song or album to be a more significant influence on them than other music which may be equally, or even more talented and/or technical based strictly on musical theory.

Good call! How could I have neglected Rush so carelessly...
and Pearl Jam for that matter!...
But then again, as much as I love them I couldn't say they were the best or most influencial,... has to be The Beatles

anyone agree?

Tough call... I'd say AC/DC and Black Sabbath (as epic as they are) are metal bands and should be categorized outside of traditional rock rankings.

Everyone has their own personal preferences but to be fair and give credit where it's due I'd have to say that The Beatles were the most influencial rock band to date.

Arguably, some people might consider Elvis to be the greatest rock star to have ever lived but who knows for sure. Depending on how much competition bands have during their reign they might get more or less credit than they deserve. Some say that Elvis' music was an obvious mockery of jazz and can't be considered legitimate rock eventhough he eventually gained the title "The king of rock" but I'm sure there are people out there who disagree with Michael Jackson being "the king of pop" as well.

After The Beatles I'd say the Rolling Stones were, and are still one of the most influencial rock bands. The Doors are definitely way up there as are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, and a couple others.

You guys just reminded me of that talk show scene from family guy when the dude stands up and tells his girlfriend:

"Shawna I have something to confess, I'm not a man, I'm a woman,"
(takes off man costume)
"oh my gawd yo a woman!"
"Well actually, I'm not a woman, I'm a horse,"
(takes off woman costume)
"Oh my gawd yo a horse!"
(takes off horse costume)
Well actually, I'm not a horse, I'm a broom"
(broom falls to the ground)

That scene was fuckin' classic

I assume that Noah's the only one with the power to do so but regardless It's not really required. Syntax is arbitrary to anyone with at least half a brain.

Besides which time can't be wasted, preserved, or saved despite commonly used expressions. Time is always spent at a constant rate but socially defined otherwise based on whether or not we use it efficiently for productive and/or beneficial purposes.

fuck that sucks...

I honestly found the game pretty boring until NJ tied it up which I obviously regret they did considering that bullshit overtime penalty which lead to their victory. Some of those refs need to get their shit in gear and call the penalties less biasly cause it seems like we get especially picked on more often than not.

Is anyone here impathic? Can anyone here predict the future with absolute certainty?

Highly doubtful...

Bad past experiences should (and must) be looked at as isolated social incidents each time they occur. Even if circumstances seem to develop a reoccuring pattern (positive or negative) we can never assume what the future has in store for us. Past events don't dictate the future. Even if you've commited an action involving the same, or even different variables nine hundred and ninty-nine times and got the same reaction(s) every time that doesn't necessarily predispose the outcome(s) of the thousandth experiment. Results can vary tremendously simply due to seemingly negligible variables like the timing or location in which they're conducted or sometimes even for reasons which can't be explained rationally or scientifically. The key is faith and confidence.

Don't think you might success
know you'll succeed

The time spend here can only be labeled as a waste if it serves no purpose whatsoever, which fortunately, I believe the time I spend here does. Although, I suppose what you're implying is financial counter-productivity.

In either case the thread's title could be misinterpretted and would be more easily understood if it were: "How many people here waste their company's time at work while on this board?"

I think it's not just unfortunate but absolutely tragic that most of you seem to anticipate breakups before even getting involved in the relationship which, as some of you suggest, are inevitably predisposed to fail on bad terms causing post marital conflicts. It's as if you set yourselves up for failure before even making a genuine effort to work things out optimistically. I believe that if a person fears abandonment, lacks trust in their partner(s), doubts their ability to maintain a stable ongoing relationship, or lacks confidence in themself than they shouldn't be in a relationship let alone get married. Trust, honestly, and loyalty build the strongest relationship foundations while fear prevents any potential foundation from even being built initially.
