i think for most people that you stop doing drugs when you find a more precise goal or meaning for your life, when you set a few goals to achieve because they are worth it for you. But they are also people who moderates. Myself, I know i sometimes do drugs for bad reasons (feeling unhappy, something bad happened in the day - and by drugs i include alcohol) but sometimes it si also because in a party or large crowd, i have to be stoned to feel right with a lot of people, i am less and less social over the years...

the thing is, even if i still do drugs sometimes, i just realize that the longer you stay without it, the easier it is to forget about it, and when sometimes i have a "rechute" , i can do a lot for a few days until i stop again for a long time.

my roomate does a lot of drugd, for years now, every week end, but he doesnt have trouble to pay the bills and have a work life balance...but right now, he wont stop because he doesnt see what could fill his week end like drugs, he didnt find yet the reason, the meaning why he would stop. I understands him in a way. I have found my reason, I try to stand by it.

well if you use soulseek, you ought to know that we can create our own room, whatever type of music it is...it could be called bleh the raveweb room so we could allow only people from this room to downlaod from our pc

soulseek is a simple and free program for sharing files..which means that could be any music we decide to share, that would be an easy and fast way of sharing anything we want with other [ rave.ca ] users, and we could also do a private room on soulseek where only members of [ rave.ca ] could load music from one another...the other avantage is that i never used a better, user friendly and more complete sharing program ever.

it is about the word ASSIMILATION. There wont be any assimilitation, we wont disappear like that. no matter how many immigrants come in canada, no matter how many language our child learn, we will still be here. On three conditions:

1) Learn how to speak and write in your own language perfectly
2) Make babies
3) Teach them

and if you marry an immigrant, learn his language and teach him your. and raise your kid in both language equally.

a kid that knows how to speak two language, this is not assimilation, it is knowledge. most people feel like this when we talk about french or english, but you would all be glad if that kid could speak spanish or german in addition of his maternal language.

Okay, we, quebecer, have an history..a small small history which compares to any other civilization is nothing. some people are proud, some dont care, and personnaly i dont care right now. you know why? try here to see a bigger picture, try to look not in your time or generation but in term of civilization...

maybe we wont speak french at all anymore soon. so what? seriously, give me a good reason why we should care. because seriously, do you think that french is part of our heritage more than anything else? does this language define who we are?

and anyway, let me tell you what i think, it wont be english neither...nor spanish, or arabic or chineese.

in many generations from our point of view, but few in the point of human race, we will have a whole new language composed of all those language. and maybe with all the mixing we'll have almost the same skin color and we wont have lost our history, this is going to be part of our history as Canadian and how it became this way, how we all speak now a language maybe named Canadian.

Our cultural mixes is our strongest force here, this is going to be our history.and in a few generations, we wont give a fuck if French or British came here first. When you learn the egyptian history, you dont know from every part of Africa those people came from originally.

well, i hope i succeed in making you understand my point even if I wrote in english.

French is my first language, but i speak good english..well i understand everything i read and heard, and i think everyone understands when I speak it. some people think i have an accent but at least, i speak it. When I used to work at a survey company, since my english was good, my job was to called in Ontario asking stupid question about yellow pages..well, two times, people give me shit over the phone because they didnt want to speak to a fucking quebecer with an accent. You are supposed to keep your cool in this kind of job but the second time, i couldnt help myself but reply to that person by asking him if he knwe how to speak french, even with an accent. of course the answer was no so i give him shit for not even trying.

my point is, I dont mind if someone speaks only english as long as he respects me. I am not blaming the anglophone for the lost of french in quebec, because most of the francophone people i know cant even write a whole sentence without making any mistakes. This is where should start the preservation of our language.

Then, i just want to remember osme people there is francophone in alberta too, and a few more over the rest of canada. I really think everyone should be bilingual in canada and that both french and english should be our national language. if i was to made a flyer, i would do it in both. and I really think that immigrants that come in canada should be forced to learn both too. i know those classes are free, they should also be mandatory. and I know a few high school that goves their program in both language every half a year, I think it si good too.

The British won, we should be happy we are still speaking french, but I dont think it is a reason why we shoulg receive crap from anglophone. if a francophone doesnt respect you, dont say all francophone are stupid, that human being was stupid and you cannot judge on the base of language. some tought are better expressed in english, some in french, that would be a cultural blessing for everyone to know how to use both language I think.

i dont think you can really judge someone on the fact that he is a cop or not, of course you can question the motivation of that person, but the same for soldiers, not all of them do it for patriotism and bullying, some really enjoy and feel the need for discipline and structure, or some wants to be on the "inside" like someone said earlier...
as for myself, i know that there is a lot of corruption in the police, but even more in the SQ. My old drug dealer used to be a SQ cop, and in the 70's, my grandfather was the big boss of it, while the SQ was at the higher point of corruption. Fortunatly, I dont see or speak to my grandfather for a long time, he made some really really bad thing in the past...

i used to have a friend who got me a gram of this stuff for like 120 dollars..so that means they each cost me 12 dollars each but i could sell them from 25 to 50 dollars, depending of the period of time...i really dont know where i found all this money to go party every week end at this time, a rave could cost me 200 dollars in drugs..shit, when i think that everything is at 10 dollars now...

francois, je crois que ca pourrait fonctionner, ma suggestion serait que tu travailles sur deux plans a la fois...fais comme si ca serait un party a 100 personnes, mais si tu peux trouver une salle abodable qui en contient 200 et qui peut facilement s ammenager si la foule se presente autrement, ca serait bien. je ne suis plus du tout au courant non plus pour les salles, la derniere fois que je suis allee dans un party, c etait au 7154 st urbain, je ne sais pas combien ca peut couter...anyway, renseigne toi, mais apres toutes ces annees, l impression que j'ai, c est que ca pourrait fonctionner vu qu'il y a quand meme pas aml moins de partys par week end qu'avant et que la plupart (je dis bien plupart) des promoteurs respectent le calendrier sur le site...en tout cas, moi je viendrais, pas necessairemenet pour l'acid seulement, mais fais longtemps que je t ai pas vu, je ferais un tit tour anonymement :)...et je connais du monde qui serait interessé bien sur, si tu le fais, dis le moi, on fera de la promo a la radio.
