I have two unrelated friends..the only 2 I know that have gone to see this movie...and they both wish they had their $10 back so they could do something wortwhile with it. I hear it blows.

unfortunately the crew is devided because of the permit issue so were gonna take care of that and we'll be back in business in no time... I had my digicam in a party in Quebec city stolen this winter from a friends bag, it had a 500 mb memory card with tons of important pics on it, **somehow** one of the doormen ended up with it and sent it back to me fedex 2 months later, memory card and all...there are good people out there, I just hope your bag found one! good luck -k

anyone have any ideas...ive got 3 gigs of refills that Id like to perhaps use in another sequencer...the only way ive found so far is one by one export to wav. but this method is rediculously slow and will take me the rest of my life..plus reason kills the sound quality as far as I know.

agreed...i have an edirol fa101 it kept crashing my mac....grey curtain of death style...I called edirol and mac, sent them a data capture and when the new os upgrade came out I never had that problem again...I have no clue what they did..but it worked...id still like a motu 828 or a 2408 though :)..Mmmmmmmm motu....

I got the tc powercore compact (because im on laptop and the rack unit is wayyyyyyyyyy overpriced) on ebay for $500 us.. I saw it at steves music for $1195 can. The Powercore element (dsp card) is the most cost effective if you have a tower, ive seen it for around 350-400 can...It comes with the same onboard plugins. -K

first off im running OSX...every keygen.exe (included in the mac app[k]) that I use in VPC that asks for my System ID to generate a key, refuses my ethernet ID calling it invalid..I've tried removing the colons, using hyphens, periods, eliminating the spaces between digits, even retrieving the sysid from the Vpc environment....nothings working..what am I doing wrong? ideas? -K

What??..I kinda like the new design..im just wondering why they didnt do it that way before...have you ever run around that thing trying to get from the mountain to st-laurent?..its a frigggin nightmare...sidewalks that end in the middle of an [ overpass..ca ] whipping by doing 80 ..i say fill the fukker in and make is as newly retaded as possible. im sure people have died trying to cross that shit...

I like to hear the sound in the room so I take them off often, but to beat match I keep the signal stereo and line it up with the headphones on my head completely... once the tracks are lined up properly ill usually take one ear off to get a balance between my headphones and the main sound keeping an ear on the precision of the beatmatch in one headphone. Depending on the quality and placement of the monitors and mixer options like the eq on the monitor channel of the djm 500, sometimes I'll press the earphones to my ear harder to cut out invading frequencies to get a clean check up on the tightness of the beatmatch during the mix. If the track is just rolling..Ill do this with my hands or if I need my hands for mixing (sliders and eq-ing), Ill do it with my shoulder. I've tried mixing using the master cue and the headphones on completely all the time, at home its ok or for precision purposes, but in a party it makes me feel isolated from the crowd so usually I'll use the monitors at that point. In the end... I dont really care what the hell I look like...I'll do whats necessary to gurantee a top quality set. Besides if my neck hurts..its usually because of the weight of my now extinct dreadlocks or the headbanging during my set. ;)

Thanks to everyone who participated and truely made this event happen. I read some of the above comments and I guess all I have to say is.. we cant win them all but we certainly have a good time playing!... This will not be Phonolites last event as some have speculated, but things might slow down a bit, Id like to get into music production and concentrate on that for the next little while. Perhaps a few smaller events here and there so keep your eyes on the calendar and definately get ready for SOMA 2006, whose plans are in the making as we speak! Thanks again for all your support! use cdj 800's or 1000's ..they have a bigger jogger that reacts more like vinyl...besides there are very limited releases on vinyl..I think youll find it rather monotonous quickly mixing psy off wax...I too love vinyl..but I love the music more. ;)

I was pretty grossed out, the taste lasted for hours even after eating pizza, I still had peices of that shit stuck in my teeth when I got home...afterwads we noticed that the fabrication date on the box was 1983...Mmmmm..thanks for the vintage edibles Noah!!!
