You're going to Madame Toussauds Wax Museum, and dropping into London Tower to see precisely where Anne Bolyn lost her head (you got into the beheading cuz of Paris, and it's all the rage in the mid east). Finally, you believe you owe it to Princess Di, no, THE WORLD, to visit the Lady Di Memorial Fountain and perform "Candle In the Wind" accapello, in her honour.
Won't your mom think you're on drugs if you asked her to do something educational?? ;)

Even [ mtldnb.com ] has chilled out. I guess these things are cyclical. Things build to a critical pressure, everything explodes, lotta steam lets out, then people feel all cathartic and move on.
Don't worry! I'm sure there's more drama on the way!

We do have large oil deposits in Alberta, unknown oil reserves in the arctic, and the worlds largest supply of fresh water. The US definitely likes Canada's natural resouces.

The US has already interfered with our lumber and beef exports, which is a substatial portion of Canada's economy. It's a nice way to start weakening another country's economy.

As many of you know, Canada has a tremendous growth potential in the pot industry. With our other major exports being limited with our largest trade partner (including the fish industry being over-tapped) the Canadian Government has started adopting a drug-dealer financial plan (pharmaceuticals and medicinal mary J). The Bush admin HATES this fact.

Imagine if the US had another terrorist attack. They would flip off the deep end into total paranoia and adopt a military state. It's practically at that point right now. George Orwell wrote about this shit over 50 years ago, but he never imagined it was the US he would be describing. Department of Homeland Security = Big Brother. If Bush get re-elected, expect another attack. Shit, it'll probably happen before November. God help us if they draw a connection between Canada and the Terrorist point of entry! The US already blamed us initially for the 9/11 hijackers, an attempted attack on New Years 2000 at LAX, and they tried to pin the Black Out on us too. They seem a little eager to pin something on us specifically.

SO the new, more fascist US of A could decide that in the interest of protecting it's sovereignty, it would remove the governments on it's 2 borders in order to instate a new government that would respect the US's rules of immigration and naturalization.

THe Germans did it to France and Poland.

BUt, sure, it's highly unlikely. But ask the WW2 vets what they think about what's happening now. None of them think that this is the USA they fought for. Times change. Sure, the Germans may have been more heavy handed about it, but the Americans would probably only occupy us, like Iraq.

But lets say they did. What the hell could we do to stop them?

If Bush gets reelected, we should start a resistance cuz someday, the US will invade Canada. Or "annex" as historians call it. Or "occupy". The US would call it "liberation" from the marijuana drug lords operating in the Montreal-Vancouver region.

Kerry and Edwards appear so good for America...I wonder how they'll lose to Bush. Kerry and Edwards speak, off their heads, and engage the audience. Bush clearly reads his speeches. And America clearly prefers the medicre candidate.

If Bush wins, I'm starting a resistance for when the US invades Canada.

4) If enough of us show up we can wage savage battle with the nutcrackers with Masters degrees in Medieval Folklore and Mythology and let him know who the toughest geeks at the Tams really are.

Logically Sanik, if your mom is actually suicidal, then surely you must have better people to be sharing this info with if RW is, in fact, just a joke or game to you, as you've said in the past. You have been consistently rude with the members of this site so I assume you have better friends in real life. If we are the best you have then sanik, you may have problems amigo.
On the other hand, if your mother is not suicidal, then it's kind of psycho for you to create this thread and scenario, especially in light of recent events, the severity of which I don't think you fully appreciate. If you don't grasp the concept, then you could have an impairment. If you do grasp the concept and choose to make light of it, then that makes you a sociopath. None of these options are making you look too good.
I can't blame this on your age. 10 year olds have more developed sense of occasion. Sanik, I've only met you once and although you seemed fairly normal, I don't know you, and I can't say I've warmed up to you.
Pissing people off on a forum is one thing. That just makes you a dick, and some of our closest friends are dicks. But belittling something like the suicide of an individual who was close to many of the people on this BBS would be an irreparable PR shit storm for you.
Grow up sanik. These people here have a history you wouldn't understand. If your mom is suicidal, call on someone you know.
But if I find out this is your version of a joke, then there's no fuckin way you'll count me as an ally in the future because you are a liability.
For the record, this IS me being your ally.

I recommend registering. You need to in order to see the whole site, and it's kind of funny because they ask you what you think of the site before you actually get to see any of it. It's really interesting to see how they represent their web presence. It's kinda like what we would have seen in a Soviet website if the USSR didn't collapse before mass internet presence.

From the article:
"Soaries reportedly replied with concern that no federal agency could postpone an election, and asked Ridge to approach Congress to give his commission the power to delay Election Day. Ridge's department recently asked the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel about the necessary legal steps to allow the postponement of the election in the event of an attack."
I think Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Cheney would attack the US themselves to allow a delay. Kill a few hundred random civilians (ideally democrats), make a few hundred million for you and your bad sperm. Why not?

I thought it was Spain's home team of terror, the Basques, who did the Madrid bombing. The Philipines demonstrated their iron will in the face of terror and are pulling their 50 people in Iraq out cuz of the hostage (I hesitate to call them Philipine Military cuz they basically sent a single Hilton's cleaning staff to Iraq). That's pretty embarassing. Not only are they going to be regarded as siding with the Americans on the wrong side of a stupid war, but they did it half-assed, and they caved in to terror tactics, which is a lot like farting at the dinner table among 1st world nations.

I was just down in New England for the 4th of July, and that place is pretty republican, and fanatically patriotic. Even they are starting to abandon the Republicans. They say they swore allegiance with the USA long before they elected Bush, and they are PISSED that the US flag, name, and reputation has been dragged through the mud so badly. Here's the impression I'm getting: If Bush tries any more monkey business, he could devide the country such that he is either impeached, assasinated, or draws his country into a brand-spanking new civil war. The Religious Right still think Bush is a messiah. Educated people think he's dangerous.

He better just fuck off and die.

I'm up for anything. I'm going into actual withdrawl. I've got a shitload of credits under my belt, and auditioned really well for some big acting schools, but lately it's been all music for me.

I've checked out every agency in Montreal and most of them are dodgy as fuck and I wouldn't even leave a headshot behind. Most of them just seem to collect headshots and try to represent a few thousand talents (walk into Brown & Sasse on Guy and see litterally thousands of hopeful black and white eyes staring out from their wall...like cattle).

My father is in ACTRA and SAG cuz he had a TV show on the Discovery network but he got his status in the union because he was a professional in another field who was given a program because of his expertise, so they had to get his unionized fast...doesn't help me in the long run.

Olie: I'm ready when you are pardner! Lets go down ASAP! Summr filming season is already well underway sti!

yeah...that is saying the same thing twice! Let me try again: You need to be in the union to audition, but you need 3 union roles to get in the union. I think that's it. The standard thing to do is create your own project and create your own opportunity. If you bring a good head shot and CV and a supporting reel to an agent, they might take you on their roster and that's how you book your union roles to get full ACTRA status.
I'm looking to make some of that supporting reel stuff.

I'm looking for ACTRA, amateur, open-call, anything. I'm also looking for those who act for indy work. I have a few projects I want to start and I can't wait around for an agent or membership. The catch-22 rule that you need to be in a union to audition, but can't audition unless you're in a union is lame.
Canadian productions suck bad enough. Is there anything on the airwaves now besides Trailer Park Boys that isn't terribly produced/acted/written?

Kids gotta see earlier what it's like to be in a fatal car wreck, or what a gunshot wound to the head looks like cuz they just go by movies and what pricks like 50 cent say about it. You see what's really in store for a gangstar, soldier, or driver and you might think twice cuz that shit is pretty damn awful.

I voted Liberal, and my riding is now a liberal one (Westmount-Ville Marie) so I'm happy.
All I know (and you kids might be too young to remember this) is that when the PC was in power, by the late 80s/early 90s we were in a shitload of debt, quebec was brokes-ass and 1% away from seperation, and Bush was elected President. Now, 11 years later, we've had 2 years of Federal surplus, Quebec is starting to surpass Romania as a capitalist power and getting better every day. Sure, a Bush is still in power, but we stand alone as the only nation with a passport without restriction and given the world climate right now, I think that speaks pretty highly of our country.
The sponsorship scandal, sorry to say, is pretty bullshit. It's less a reflection of a corrupt political party, and more a reflection of a boring political system where not a hell of a lot goes on, an election is up-coming, and the media would appreciate something a little more controversial cuz Canadian Idol just ain't hackin it. The Gov'ts been handing out grants to it's preferred clients since the dawn of time (why do you think Toronto grew by close to 250% since 1980 while MTL has only grown by a little over 50% and only since 1995?). It's all politics.
What's cool about the Minority government is that Adriane Clarkson will get dusted off and taken off her decorative podium and get to do some real decision making, and she is a huge supporter of the arts, which means she won't try to destroy all the federal artistic initiatives. And Montreal is all about its arts!
