Has anyone ever read the book "How to DJ Right" ?
If you haven't, I HIGHLY reccomend anyone who is serious about DJing to read it. It is all about the art, science, math, and philosophy behind spinning records. It was written by Frank Broughton and Bill Brewster, who are the Authors of "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life" It talks about things like: Basic mixing techniques (for Vinyl, CD's and MP3s) How / Where to buy music and equipment and how to use it how to plan for gigs how to read crowds and work dancefloors How to get gigs and get paid How to get free records how to be a mobile / radio DJ How to throw a good party How to promote yourself ...and so much more. I would reccomend it for anyone who's never DJ'd before in their lives, as well as people who have been DJing most of their lives. It's a popular book, so just do a search for it and I'm sure if you do a search for it online, you will find many different sites you can order it from. I hope people will take my advice on this one because DJ's make the party, and better DJ's means better parties. I hate reading, but I haven't put this book down since I got it. Check it out! Peace, and keep pushing music forward! - Endo |

nope, not DJing for dummies. Not at all. It has a lot of wise words from many of your heroes. It's only $15 |

The important part is most of them are influential DJ's and have some good words of advice. Even if you don't like their music, they are big for a reason and you can learn something from them. |
