i almost feel like getting a pink ipod, just so i can laugh at all the people who stereotypically associate certain colors/imagery with homosexuality. |

if you think spending 450$ on something only to laugh at someone is funny
then go for it like I care |

I have a cheap cd player, and it skips all the time, even tho it apparently has 40-second anti-shop, and it goes through batteries like crazy
its not worth it to buy a super cheap one, trust. |

i wouldn't listen to anyone who tells you to go MP3/CD Sam...there garbage, they waste baterries, they're pretty clunky...
in all honesty, i'd try and find yourself a shockwave cd player like Sharons, though they were pretty expensive at the time, prolly still up in the $200 range but they are very very reliable, with good sound, that, or a cheap Sony modle, like the plain grey modle, i don't know names though, they work like tanks, and'll let you drop em lots n lots of time though, new cheaper players that are out now, that are cheaper and have agood sound and battery life, they break very easily... though i'm not Pro Ipod, they do seem like a good investment, though kinda expees for the 40 gig one. the only thing that gets me is the expensive battery replacement, but i know that that isn't a big worry for many people who don't listen to their players an above average amount of time and no offence to Ze've, Sam don't go for the Rio, as handy as they are, they are cheap cheap cheap, if you sneeze on it, it's gonna stop working forever, a friend has 3 deads ones in his house, and he got those all within 6-8 months of the original buy, not to mention the 4th one that got completly busted...the only thing that it seems they good for, is getting replaced |

my MP3/CD player is the same size as any CD player on the market. and the battery run time is pretty damn good on alkaline batteries.
i use rechargeable batteries though. A good set of 4 Panasonic batteries and the charger will cost you $40-$60 and you'll never have to buy batteries again. I keep 2 in my cd player and 2 in my digicam. |

rechargables are very good, if they aren't cheap
and you gotta make sure to use em up fully the first time, then charge em for at least 12 hours but from what i know from my own MP3/CD player and from what my friends say about theirs, is that if there was one thing they'd want more out of the player, is better battery life, 6-10 hours isn't nearly good enough... as for size, i'm just picky, i like cd players to be as small as possible, thin and sleek, i just find the mp3/cds to be larger and bulkier |

i have a charger for alkaline batteries. I can charge an alkaline battery up to 20 times before it stops working. And they last wayyyy longer than rechargeables |

it was like 30$ 10 years ago. never saw the machine since. I think they got bought off by batterie companies to get shut down and they dont license the patent. |
