I aint lying...

alright Ze'ev I will give you a more detailed analysis.

Started with $2000 Investment from my father to start the cookie dough business. Ran that for 2 years, learned the basics of business and with the help of my older brother and parents made quite a chunk of money. Sold the business to a neighbourhood bakery in Manhattan. They gave me a sweet little nest egg to sit on. did no real business between 10-12.

At 12 I invested a chunk of that money in a project my brother's friend was taking on. It was called Interlog and was an Internet Service Provider. Soon became one of the biggest in Canada and at 15 I had my first Mil when my friend sold the company(my friend who was 21 was worth close to 50 mil at that point).

With that money and the help of many advisers I invested heavily in various tech stocks. Luckily they were all booming. Got out a year or so before the bubble burst, at this point i had close to 30 grand. During that time i was also investing in real estate in toronto (all my properties have at least doubled since then). Also during this time I started my second company. It started as a Rave company, but after my first two events in toronto that lost money I expaned it (with the help of a knowledgeable but very poor partner) into a full out event consultation company and organization firm. We have handeled some massive events in the United States and Canada including the APA conferances and private parties for billion dollar companies in the states (got manyof these contracts through contacts and family friends, then through word of mouth).

I also went into the franchise business. I own a few fast food joints in NYC.

All of these business as i mentioned before are now run by a bunch of 50 year old men who i take care of very well. Once I am done with all my schooling I will be taking over.

Someone asked why they didnt just do the biz themselves? that answer is simple. None of them had much capital until i hired them. Some of them have started their own enterprizes but their loyalty to me is incredable.

This of coarse is a very simplified overview. And I have left some stuff out. But the jist of it, I started with one small business that went very well. Invested that money and turned it into a lot more. Invested again and again and again. Opened another very successful enterprise, and then hired a bunch of goons to continue building my wealth.

Interlog - you're talking about [ Inter.net ] ?

Well if that is REALLY the case, no wonder. :)

The tech bloom years made many people rich, several I know well and personally, and even I got my piece (although it just so happened I had to be somewhat nomadic during that period which kinda put a stick in my bike's wheels so to speak).

The only thing I'm still fumbling with here is the cookie dough business at 8. I'm not saying it isn't possible, kids are amazing learners and if taught how to early can absorb knowledge like candy, but the level of discipline, self organization and being able to influence others usually comes at later age, both due to maturity and amassed experience.

Ah well, now I'm leaning towards believing you, so if you are telling the truth, well, good stuff, hope none of your managers breaks that incredible loyalty... a simple truth I've learned and re-learned over the years is that if you want something done well, do it yourself (then again maybe I just wasnt that lucky with people). And if you ARE putting a smoke screen for whatever purposes, congrats - you did your homework :)

I'm totally behind "the need to do more" riff... what is the point making a fortune if all you are going to do is be a lazy nothing the rest of your life?

what do you mean about the wife question...

and Ze'ev the cookie dough business was odd i agree. I was fortunate to have a father who at a young young age encouraged me to go into business for myself, and a brother who was very loving and supportive and a mother who knew how to make awesome cookies...

You'd be surprised...when you tell kids they can make $50 a week they will do almost anything you tell them to.
