 Coolness: 145615 | Hey guys, my friend has to get a short Techno related survey done by I dunno how many Techno enthusiasts.....since she's not either in the scene or knows anyone else who could help her out with that project, I offered to get answers for her....so here it is...please answer seriously, even though you might find some of these questions retarded...
Now, if you don't want your answers to be read by others on this board, just send me your answers to schranzist@hotmail.com it's only 6 questions but it's highly appreciated :) P.S.: Please remember that in this survey, Techno is used in the specific sense of the word and not in the general sense....i.e.:Techno=Techno and not "Electronica". Who doyou think is Techno's main crowd? -males between the ages of 18-24 4. Is Techno associated with an era, a country, a culture? If yes, which? -an era: the advent of computers and the information highway. any country and culture in which this factor arises. ps. this is a fucking stupid question. way to vague for a survey. anyways, moving on. 5. Does it contain a message or communicate in any way? -no. the medium is the message. ps. as you're questions get vaguer and vaguer, so do my answers. 6. Is it limited to a certain age group. etnic group or gender? -yes, only white males between the ages of 18-24. anyone else who claims to like techno is a fucking liar. anita, neil, sorry guys, you don't fit in here. woops. me neither. |

1. What's the first image that comes to mind when you think of Techno? Part of the initial attraction to techno is that there was no image attached to it. In the beginning that's all there was. Music. No faces. No voices - languages - accents. 2. What colours do you associate most with this music? I don't confuse colors with sounds. 3. Who do you think is Techno's main crowd? At the moment it seems to be people that haven't been around long enough to have a sense of history. 4. Is Techno associated with an era, a country, a culture? If yes, which? Different sounds conjure up thoughts of different places: Detroit, Berlin, Paris... there are all places that have left their mark, but ideally it's open for everyone to contribute. 5. Does it contain a message or communicate in any way? It's hard to say - I used to think it made people more receptive to new things... but upon further reflection it seems that it's more likely that the first people to pick up on it were already looking for new things - and that most people finding it now are just following a lead. 6. Is it limited to a certain age group. etnic group or gender? If it is then what's the point? I may be an asshole, but I'm not an elitist. |
