The block was replaced with one of a 2001 GTI along with the transmission, but the AEB head was retained and treated to a slight port and polish. After some tuning on the road and dyno, this 94 golf diesel puts out 325 hp to the wheels on 94 octane and 374 hp to the wheels on 100 octane with an 8.5:1 compression ratio. With a chassis this light, it makes for some impressive acceleration and when combined with a well balanced suspension setup it really is a great all around car.

Coolness: 138830	ew. ugly color the black hood is cheap-looking ...and so are the gold rims. gold rims only (no exceptions) go with the Wrx.
