Humanity is being attacked. Humanity is being debased. Humanity is being morphed into a breed of mindless, self-indulgent, rats. And by who?
Humans.
As I observe those around me – even my closest of friends – it baffles me to see how perverted people have become.
How profit is the name of the game.
How its no longer in peoples best interest to care for others as they’re to busy caring for themselves.
This self-mutilation however, has gone too far.

how so. doesnt it bother you that you could be dying in a little hole, and most people would blindly walk by?
it pisses me off. no one cares these days any more.

The " new Philosophers " have been saying that for time

Been reading Spengler ? =P

Collapse of humanity : imminent ? If by humanity you mean, human " values, that which makes us " humans " and not " mere " animals ( sorry animal lovers ) then I totally agree.

believe it or not, life is about taking care of number one.

look at any animal, it's always survival of the fittest.. no one cares about anyone else, nor have they ever. that's life.

thats a negatory ian..
when faced with the destruction of their entire commuity.. animals will do some sort of primitive cooperation
they CAN help each other..
but i agree that in general its look out for number 1
also... humans are not turning to shit.. its a process... theres cycles... we'll emerge better in the end

Wicked thread =D

" believe it or not, life is about taking care of number one.

This is 18th century thinking... social darwinism

Survival of the fittest : the very expression of neoliberalism. May the best survive, and fuck morals, isn't it ?

There was a philosophical movement in Germany a couple of centuries ago... it was called the " Aufklarung " ( trans. : " enlightenment " ). I seriously think we should go back to that.

dino, that's true, but also for humans.

what do you think would happen should space aliens come to conquer out planet?

i'm pretty sure we'd all ban together to kill em.. but once the threat is gone, back to preserving number one.

people usually put themselves first.. if it benifits you.. then why not. Its about living your life and making it through to your dreams
buttttttttt
not all are like that
cause the "emotions" come in... and some rather see other people happy.. to put others first then yourself second
Some care.. some don't
some try to care but don't know what to do

I put myself first sometimes, it depends on the situation.. sometimes i put others
first.

yeah exactly

(WARNING!! gay example about to be used)
Star Trek.. yeah.. that .. itll happen eventually.. its just gonna take time
eventually humans will stop thinking stupidites and realize the important things in life...
like remember 100 years ago wen war was cool? who wants war now? no one thats who
it takes time but mankind moves in the right direction

even caring for others, it's all done for selfish reasons, you worry/care for others cause in the end deep down in side, it's cause you hope the other will care back.. or whatever, it's always about you.

But ego has taken over. Humans now possess this inability to see passed their own conceit.
The 21st century has yet to see a Karl Marx or John Locke etc.
People who defied societies conceptions.
Who's zealous beliefs affected change.

But their are no more martyrs. They all died with the rise of Capitalism.
People care for not but themselves and personal gain.

BUT then again i am OVERLY generalizing.
Upon a rare occasion, i'll witness a truly selfless act done with pure intent rather than for self-gratification. merely out of the goodness of their heart.

Oh not wait.
That was just a dream.

Well yes.
I am a fervent believer in many of Darwins theories.
Survival of the fittest being one of them.
However, just like a pack of wolves, people need to stick together. Nothing was ever accomplished without the help of others.

And if the "I am an island" trend continues, then as i have said: the collapse of humanity is imminent.

Okay we all know that greed is the base of the problems with our sociality and has been since the dawn of time. There are those out there that are content with what they have or doing ...it is those people that find happiness in the madness of our combined culture that gives me hope that e on a whole the human races should not be wipped from the face of this planet, but shown or awaken to a better way lifing while working together.

Once again i post "nationlism, greed & organised religon" are the bases of our miscontent?

or am i wrong?

Yeah sure they are.

And from the moemnt you lose faith in humanity, you tend to not care and become nihilistic... thus perpetrating the very same offenses that you initialy loathed.
