I had an awesome time, i haven't been drunk like that for a while, at 9am i could barely walk. A LOT of shit went wrong and we couldn't do anything about it. Let me start from the beginning. Got at the venue at 12, the equipment from ottawa was supposed to start coming in at 1. At 1 I call and they had just left Ottawa. So I stay at the filthy venue with the lights out till 5 by myself, when they finally come in with the first shipment of equipment. THings werent that bad there. So we unload the equipment and set it up. But wait! the sound guy and the cleaning guy from the venue still arent here! So the room is filthy with ravergoo all over the place and we have no sound. And on top of that, our truck with the sofas, the cages and the projectors isnt here yet. We panic. Finally at around 9ish the sound tech and the cleaning guy get here and do their job in a record time so we can open the doors for 10. Tones starts spinning, the monitor blows up so we cant hear shit in the dj booth. So tones has a shitty set, the middle man has a shitty set, and then i play a half/shitty set since the monitor got replaced at half of my set. But the big soundystem was crapping out on us, crackling for the whole night. FOrtunately the place wasnt too empty, most people had fun. All the djs showed up and made some wicked sets. I think we managed to make a pretty good party, even tho most of our shit never got to mtl. |

The fact that mother nature decided to crap out on us THAT day was a piss off. I think everything turned out ok, cept for the things we couldnt of expected to of happend. Which kinda sucks.. I met gaston, I caught him and whatee guy making out and he threatened to kill me. I think that was the most exciting part of the night. Finding a moose made me pretty fucking happy. But not as happy as I was when I got to spend time with isa. Miles being sketched out about getting his stuff stolen while he was half passed out made me sketch out and i made sure the coat check guy put his stuff somewhere safe ect.. then miles passed out then dissapeared (boo :(). Matt buying thierrys mom a beer with a ring of coke around his nose.. was kinda funny, but I dont think she noticed.. and im pretty sure she didnt care even if she did. The Djs were awsome (considering the problems) Oh and one last thing. I HATE trance.. but Al, ur set was amazing :D :D :D |

 Coolness: 90320 | Yeah, serious apologies for the lack of decorations, the person taking care of the deco dissapeared on the day of the event with all of it + our chill room projector.
I had a great time, I felt that the turnout was good considering the time we promoted in and the weather on the night of the event. A lot of smiling faces, a lot of amazing performances. I didn't see anyone having a crappy time. Thanks to EVERYONE who came out, without you it's not a party. We'll keep throwing them, and they're only going to get better and better. Re: Sound, many people who used the Rainbow in the past used the system, so we decided that we would use it this time. Synergy is not planning on using the Rainbow ever again, and therefore will always be bringing their own sound (which for those who were at Accellerated Culture know, is insane). We have no problem with the rainbow itself, just with the fact that everyone is tired of it. So next time, a brand new venue. Speaking of next time, who wants to see Lenny Dee? :-) |

shitty deal with the speaker but ..........shit happens. all it takes sometimes is one bad cable or plug. Middle man's set was harder than i normally like but for for reason I loved it. Thanks mark. cloudskipper was dissapointing in ottawa and montreal. too much New HHC for my liking. But i did get a new vinyl from him and its really good . so im happy. Looking forward to seeing more Montreal Synergy events. Rob. |

and to he people bitching about the smashing of the monitor, it's called "trying something different". We in Slammer Virus are a little on the weird side, and like to mix shit up a bit, and try new things. Next time just go with it, and enjoy yourself. Mr Grey Poopon was an unbelieveable help to us, and an awesome guy....nice to meet another cool person in a city as amazing as montreal, didn't catch your real name though. It was also nice to meet Thierry, Kafwin, and a few others, and put some faces to the names. We'll definately be coming back soon! |
