The Garbage Pail Kids collecting phenomenon of the 1980s that spawned 15 sold-out series is making its return in 2003 to capture a new generation of collectors via our Garbage Pail Kids #16 bubble gum and stickers set which is scheduled to reach store shelves August 20. Set #16 will feature a mixture of images from the unpublished ``Lost 16th Series'' in tandem with new works from the original creative team of Jay Lynch, John Pound and Tom Bunk. The set will contain 80 Regular/Paper Stickers (2.5'' x 3.5''), 50 Foil Stickers (2.5'' x 3.5'') and 60 Small Rectangular Stickers that will wrap around pieces of gum. Each pack will contain three basic paper stickers, one foil sticker and four pieces of green Tutti-Frutti gum wrapped by the aforementioned sticker. As of this newsletter's deadline, contest rules were in the process of being finalized. However, in every pack collectors will find a GPK Game Card that will provide the opportunity to mail-in the card for random drawings of original artwork, uncut sheets, sets, complete sets of GPK #16 and sets of puzzle cards. |
