 Coolness: 35535 | What an amazing lineup of montreals finest local dj!! Walked into a very nice dark opening set from Otkun, first time to hear a set from Akibel, def living up the hype, Vince and Mel back to back was for sure the highlight of the night for me! Rikam never stingy or compromising with his sets as usual and deserves much respect, and of course Greg with a very sweet darkish morning set (was that you?) to send me on my way and shaking the building while I was waiting for my cab. Personally I enjoyed Bamboo Forest, if you were expecting big dramatic buildups and full on cliches this was never what he is about. He played a bit darker than usual but due to the environment probably. Wicked events like this are the reason us oldschoolers still make it out and proves that the psytrance scene Is still mighty in Montreal!

| Coolness: 509505 | one of two things happened during Bamboo Forest's set.. either someone (maybe him) turned the sound up, which made the whole thing just clip and sound like crap, or his production quality is really very mediocre and that's why it sounded like crap.
in any case the subwoofers sounded like they were pumped too high... so little precision in the lows... and the mids were missing all night, but that's the opinion of a psy sound snob, also I was closer to the back of the room so maybe it was better at the front (i'm starting to get annoyed by people at parties having the sound way louder than it needs to be... we're all going to be hearing impaired i tell you! :D |

 Coolness: 121580 | That was a blast for sure! Very good music, it was hard to get off the dance floor. Very crowded, it was hard to dance and never saw some friends that were present. We will need a bigger venue next year! |

 Coolness: 62350 | hi there, the new production of bamboo forest is not really crap...lol .... i was busy @ orion for listen very well his new live pa ...
but at the after party, the sound of his live pa was perfect , top notch.... his new tracks was completly top shape and very good quality... new bamboo mormning stuffs... I know that at the party, his new live PA played with more compression in the subs and i dont know why... i dont know.... and his retro set was more down because he played very old track .... he buyed a new Mac book for his live set the day of the party in montreal... i think that he know what he do ... he is teacher @ music school of the legends Etnica @ ibiza... by the way,i will play new tracks of him in my dj set soon...for me its the way of new psy trance for morning... thanks to everyone to coming ! peace&light x |
