i want to go party; first i'll eat some good healthy meal, then when i'm at the party i'll do yoga and stretch, maybe drop some acid but most likely not, then i'll dance all night using the trance techniques that have been passed on, and then i'll drink some fruit smoothie with maca and spirulina and guarana. in the trance techniques, there is some breathing techniques that i still need to learn. and i don't feel good at 3810 for that kind of breathing, knowing that i'm harming my body more than doing it good. that's why i won't party there. but most people into hardcore don't care. make your parties there, encourage some fucker who's laughing at you, always asking for more money... i won't go anyways. all's good, no? :) |

 Coolness: 39410 | I see your point, but I want to add that the reason why I'd rather not go there is not because it's "unhealthy" (cause I'll admit I don't have the healthiest of lifestyles) but because it makes me feel bad. as opposed to other venues (or even better - outdoor parties). 2 first times I went there, I lost my voice because of the poor air quality, coudn't speak for 3 days and throat hurt like hell. I also got a flu cause I surely didn't expect that it was gonna be that cold. other venues didn't bring me those problems. Now I know that using drugs is unhealthy, but I usually try to use in doses small enough not to make me total kaputt afterwards. for example I stopped taking mdma cause I didn't get the euphoria anymore and all it did was make me depressed after...
so if the positive aspects of something are worth more than the negative aspects, then I keep using it, and if I see more negative stuff related to it, then I don't see the point in using it anymore. |

 Coolness: 73080 | ha yes I can confirm the spore cold was in fact real... basically everyone involved in the organization caught it... mind you our immune systems were all shot due to lack of sleep but anyways...
Probably the result of not having any ventilation and having 500+ people all breathing the same recycled air. 3810 is not the best winter venue because of the lack of any real heating in the main room. Out of curiosity... have any of you ever decided not to go to a party once you find out it's at 3810? |

Apparently it's in demand and he's jacking up his prices. Not to mention the fact that he'll keep your security deposit And also the fact that you might as well sign off all your possessions to him when you sign his contract. I feel like posting the thing online, it's a joke. I pray to god nothing major happens at a party there... for the promoters sake. If somebody gets hurt, dies or something breaks the promoter is personally responsible for insuring whatever costs are at hand... think about it. |

Montreal, QC - March 2010 ________________________(the “Lessor”), c/o _____________________Montreal, Qc, Tel: c/o hereby reserves for, and jointly and severally sub-leases to: Tel: Email: -and- Tel: Email: both referred to as “Lessee”, who may hold an event for _______ private invited guests, (invitées) to take place within Suite/Loft 2E,(DJ only on mezzanine) at 3810 St. Patrick St., Montreal, Qc, (the “Premises”) not before _________, 2010, music to be lowered nightly to TV listening levels after 3AM, and cleaned up by ______________, 2010, (the “Period”), The use of the “Premises” includes the use of the equipment, decor and furnishings situated therein, for which the Lessee hereby acknowledges receipt in perfect condition (unless otherwise noted) for use as and where situated, items detailed as follows: - kitchen complete in excellent condition, incl: brown refrigerator-freezer, beverage cooler. counter with SS rect. sink and strainer, cook-top, 4-burner. and _____________________________________________________________. 1 fire extinguisher Class ABC, with which Lessee has familiarized himself, and shall maintain. _____ Wood Tables, _____ metal tables, _____ sofas, _____ chairs, stacking, _____ chairs, upholstered, _____ coat racks AND __________________________________________________________________________________. The Lessee further agrees: a) to pre-pay a refundable security/damage/conformity deposit of $ _______ before _________, 2010 and to assure = > _____ security staff, with name, address & cell # of the chief of security, during the event. b) to pay the sum of $ _______ for the reservation of, and use of the Premises for the said Period, (+ $15 for _____ each guest beyond capacity), plus QST & GST taxes, as applicable. c) to additionally pay a reasonable administration/collection fee (not less than $75.00) for any default (eg late or incomplete payment, NSF check, etc.) under the terms of this rental agreement, and all judicial and non-judicial fees reasonably incurred by Lessor required to enforce any resulting procedures necessary for debt recovery; plus 15% for administration +>= $20+ per incident of default, as per the house rules schedule, as seen at [ loftparty.ca ] d) insurance nil e) to guarantee to Lessor that by the termination of the Period, the Premises and its decor, shall have been restored (and if necessary - repaired) to the same condition and no less good than as first occupied. f) to remove or put out where designated on the front street all their garbage, properly bagged, and restore the Premises to perfectly clean and good order and to vacate the Premises and return any and all keys (as may have been provided) on or before that said time. g) that the interior, equipment, and decor of the Premises is complete, clean, and in perfect operating condition, unless otherwise noted hereon by the Lessee before taking occupancy. h) that after any Lessee event, it shall repair promptly any damages to the Premises and its decor to an equivalent function and quality, and that all damages are Lessee’s sole responsibility to resolve: (e.g. repairs, etc.) as required. If same is not resolved satisfactorily in the opinion of the Lessor within three days, then the Lessor may itself perform the said repairs and the Lessee shall reimburse Lessor for the full value of same. + payments as per para.(c) above. i) that the Lessee indemnifies the Lessor against all claims whatsoever by itself and/or any third parties and agrees that, notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing, the Lessor’s liability in all circumstances whatsoever - shall not exceed, one half (50%) of the base amount of rent already paid by the Lessee to the Lessor; Lessee agrees to pay all costs of all legal actions based on this contract. j) to abide by all laws, including municipal bylaws, and without limitation, that this includes the playing of no live music nor of any music with or without a DJ at a level that vibrates walls, or disturbs co-tenants of the building or neighbourhood or at sound levels or at hours not allowed specifically by municipal bylaws or civic convention and as per the general intent herein and park all vehicles to the W. of the E. side boundary of the Premises building. Without limitation to the general conditions applicable herein, the Lessee further agrees: 1. to provide good security ( ______ staff ) and sanitation in the Premises, and all passageways in the building, and without limitation, to not disturb the peaceful enjoyment of neighbouring occupants in any way 2. if alcoholic beverages will be consumed, to refuse consumption of same to any underage person, obtain necessary permit(s), to keep a list of all invitees and to refuse entry to all persons not known to Lessee, and to allow Lessor’s representative(s) (including police) to visit the Premises at any time. 3. to disallow the sale or use of any product or substances other than legal and common comestibles, nor to permit anyone to become drunk and/or disorderly, nor to carry food or beverages nor to loiter out-outside the Premises, nor to shout nor cause disturbance, inside or outside,- in violation of the whole or any part of the foregoing, Lessee shall be deemed in default, the security deposit maybe forfeited (at Lessor’s sole option), and the Lessee may be subject to legal action for all damages, with costs.
