 Coolness: 86450 | here's a mix I cooked up this afternoon. '93 hardcore jungle. as always, the original 12"s straight from England. The levels get louder than I would have liked at some points, and blah blah... but my spare time to do these mixes is very short, so it'll have to do. if you can, leave feedback and comments in the soundcloud mix. hope you enjoy!  :

always a pleasure to hear the cuts that set the bar for the beat chopping that was to come... slick work - surely this mix deserves more love than this! ya I love that real ghetto hardcore jungle tekno. the music was so experimental.. so many styles and ideas all mixed into one track. and there was so many dope records coming out every week gettin cained by pirate-radio crews and at dodgy raves that it was impossible to keep up with all of em. so DJs would have certain signature tunes nobody else had.. pure faceless whitelabels with mad uncredited samples. it's crazy for me to think that when I first moved to Montreal, I was planning on selling all my old gems on Ebay, or putting them into storage. I'm so glad I kept my babies and got back into it, cuz now I love it more than ever ;) |
