How Much Can You Bench Press?

for anyone on the board that might be wondering... post up how much weight you can bench press.

for me, im not sure, but i bet i could do about 140, maybe 150 lbs.

You takling reps or just one hit?

Reps -> I can do 3 sets of 6 @ 130 (I did not always finish the 3rd set)
One Hit -> I can do like 150ish.

That was like last summer. Haven't benched since.

But seriously, when I started I went for high weight but realized technique had much more to do with strength buildup.

Yes, your right. I started with a lighter weight to get the technique then I upgraded; 100, 120, 140 and so on. Protein supplement is essential too, it help to repair and built your muscles. Eating well is also a factor.

not much, i have started working out again for about 2 months. i used to be able to do like 10 reps x 3-4 with 150lbs on. Right now it's ridicoulous, i'm like at 10 reps 3-4 set of 80lbs then inclined bench etc.

I have a long way to go to build the strenght that i had.

Weight lifting is a wonderfull activity

Im not sure about how much i could do with only one hit tough. I never even tried lol

I did balloon ab training, that was something ! A massive guy told me one of his best training was balloon (whole set), I'll try that if I start again.

Before I hurt my arm as a teen, I was doing 6x20 reps @ 160, wrist curl 3x20 reps @ 100lbs.

And do 500-600lbs in leg pushes.

Just messing around I managed to close to 300 for like 3-4 reps. But that was with help. And prob pushing it.

I haven't worked out in years tho, I would love to start again (not to get 'big' just to get toned/keep up strength) but it's such a borish thing to do alone.

And the fact I hate gyms doesn't help lol
