no no no, the jerking off in itself *does* provide happiness and a shallow sense of accomplishment, but that's only temporary. I think the reason getting laid allows you to sleep better has more to do with that fact that you have someone sleeping next to you, rather than the sex itself. Unless of course the sex was so energy consuming that you simply collapse into deep sleep afterwards.

Sleep, like every other bodily functions, are, to me anyways, kinda like a bar of soap.
The best way to drop it, is to hold on to it too hard.

Take it easy, read a book with dim lights, tire out your eyes while taking your mind elsewhere.
Apply a little bit of pressure around your head (I use a t-shirt or whatever to cover my eyes and establish a slight pressure on the exterior of my skull. Restrict peripheral irrigation and promotes
internal circulation of the cerebellum. Gets rid of that pesky Lactic acid.

These are the best tricks for me (I mean other than heavy duty chemicals).

I personally don't believe in establishing set sleeping patterns..

If you're tired, it means your body is telling you to sleep, ergo you should sleep. If you can't fall asleep, it means that it's just not time for you to sleep yet.

The most important thing in life IMO is to listen to your body, because the same thing doesn't work for everyone.

You don't have to eat three meals a day, you just have to not be hungry. You don't have to sleep 8 hours a night, you just have to sleep until you wake up. It's like the saying; a wise man speaks because he has something to say, a fool speaks because he has to say something. Your body is a lot more intelligent than you are, and if you're not sleeping when you 'want' to sleep, forcing it into doing something it's not ready to do isn't necessarily the best course of action.

Staying awake when you're tired every day is IMO as stupid as getting headaches all the time and not getting checked out for a tumor or some other problem..

your body will tell you when it needs or doesn't need something; pay attention.

unfortunately, this is easier said than done when you work a 9 to 5 job while also wanting to party on weekends (and some week nights)
