Im gettin old, the days of me playin often was years and years ago in ottawa, now I have a kid, Im old, and i dont get to rock out much. So people, keep the love for the party and the hype in the thread, leave the ego's/shit talkin and arguing/drama for private messages and face to face meetups As Noah would say, Respect your scene and it will grow, disrespect it and it will go. In the early nineties if you were into "hardcore" you were basically into UK breakbeat (I'm not making this up, I was one of those kids). People tend to underestimate how important breakbeat was in the shaping of raves and electronic music especially in the UK... Without uk breakbeat you wouldn't have had hardcore or drum n bass... |

He was more into the whole west coast funky breaks thing though, Hardkiss and stuff like that, mixed with house and acid It was GNAT that was the breakbeat master when raves first started in Montreal Before GNAT, I don't know anyone who was playing that music in this city. To me he's the Montreal godfather of breakbeat, he was such a cool guy too :) Miss that dude |
