Misstress Barbara & Sam Roberts = FAIL

Nobody try to even dispute that, please. Tell me it's catchy, sure. Tell me it's cute, fine. But don't tell me it's GOOD.
I'm feeling "flynn lives" right now..

Miss Lynzyn was bitching about her mixing skillz.LIke i said, she did great mixes at Picnik and Parking when i saw her.As for her musical tastess ( mistress ) nope it's not good .She was good back in the days mixing wild techno,as for now,i really don't like the genre. But still, threating her Bitch ? come on.I don't like what Maus plays as well, but she's a freaking good dj.

P.S. Mistress Barbara is far from my music style..

that isn't what i meant Mel i meant that Bitch of sound system....

Anyway i can say this and you can say that and no one will be right!!! Opinions clash about styles and sounds and music in this forum and all over the world....My name isn't on flyers and cd's for the simple reason that i haven't tried to do it...I am sure if i put all my time and energy and money into djing i am sure i would do a good job!!!
Mise À Jour » Turtle a écrit sur Thu 6 Aug, 2009 @ 12:29pm
she was really good that nite but her levels were out of wack....But her mixing and pick of music is rock baby!!! I would love to be where she is at, but i am not so i will meet her on the dance floor instead!!!

Hey does anyone know if she is mixing piknik this labor day?

we can allllll do great jobs. But still we ( me and you ) are noobz compared to her.I'M sure she can show us a shitload of thing .IT's been only 3 years i'M mixing ,and i know i have a lot to learn still. And even if you put time and money on it, it will take years and years to built you a reputation like she have.

As for the opinions,i don,t even like what she's mixing like i said.Far far from my tastes.Even there,i can recognize a good dj and a bad one

Well, whats stopping you? Seriously I've seen you earlier express how passionate you were about djing and how no one on here could really understand it, yet it seems you've put your "passion" on the backburner all these years with the other "hobbies" you're into

Djs like Mistress Barabara have made a CAREER out of djing, that means its fulltime and it pays the bills, and trust me, like Melodie said that takes A LOT of work to get there.

No reason you can't do the same and walk the walk and talk the talk

Bliss i can't quit my job and dj as a career i would land up with nothing!!! I just don't have it in me anymore, it is my passion and i show how i see fit weather it is talking about mixing or mixing at home with friends or in a party or in a club. I do it on my time and how i want, it is a hobby for me now...

Cause i have a nice life with my fiance and things that i actually need, rather than things that i want...Life gets in the way sometimes and things don't land up the way u want them too, but in the mean time, i will continue to be passionate about mixing no matter what is that ok with u?

By the way they are not other Hobbies! It is called life and things that must be done!!! I can't seem to put my life aside to mix even though i love the music and to mix. I want children, i am gonna get married eventually, buy a house that is more important right now that mixing, but if things turned out another way i would make djing my career.....

A friend of mine, rather the guy that showed me the ropes on mixing he played the drums and the guitar, he told me knowing how to play an instrument is easier to learn how to mix...I never played an instrument, so i am not sure if that is true anyone have a point of view on that?
Mise À Jour » Turtle a écrit sur Thu 6 Aug, 2009 @ 2:31pm
But i did listen to a lot of music growing up my parents played their 45's on Sundays all old school tunes....From MJ to Blondie and french love songs and stuff...My mom even told me when i was in her belly she would put headphones so i can hear the music....

Learning an instrument teaches you discipline, witch in turn, helps you learn other stuff.

It does also help develop your ear, and once you have gone through the theorie of music, you sorta develop a "programmers" understanding of music.

I'm no dj, but it seem to me like the hard part of djing most styles of edm isnt the beatmatching.
